Cant wait for Season 3. Season 2 was definitely a bit slow compared to 1.

You have to keep in mind this show was written for men in season 1. When they realized the demographic watching was 43% Women who were opinionated on what they wanted season 2, they changed gears a bit. Thankfully, everyone hated it so they are going back to what they did season 1. Alpha male who fucks all the girls and refuses to commit, chiseled out of granite

First season was very fun, highly recommended, second season was complete trash and the character got intentionally cucked by the Hollywood morons. It's like watching 2 different shows

He had two-ish people helping him in season 1, but he was mostly a solo act.
They gave him a team and love interest in season 2 with an attempt at some backstory.
This season it looks like he will go back to having two-ish people helping him while being a mostly solo act.

S1 was stellar, S2 was middling. It works better when Reacher is working as a lone wolf, so hopefully there is a lot more of that. It never felt like he was in real danger in season 2.

Remove the mystique, explain it all away.The thad castle gifs gave me life, dude was somehow even better at comedy than action (the extremely high pitch voice when he scream help a lot)
I still have to watch season 2, was it really that terrible??

They say that in public. The viewership numbers of reacher being very high points out they like the alpha male who fucks all the women.
For that matter, 50 shades of Grey was a series about a dominant rich alpha male tying and gagging and abusing a young innocent girl and her falling for him. On a budget of less than 150 million, it made like 1.3 billion of almost exclusively female audience and wasn't a CGI blockbuster movie everyone complains took over cinema.

I just mean they didnt have to tell you the entire backstory of his squad and past life. They gave you just enough pieces for the story to matter. Reacher remained a bad ass, a wanderer. Seasons 2....they give away his entire backstory and past....its too much , not needed, overdramatic sap.

Reacher FOR THE LOVE OF GOD FINALLY SHAVED FOR HIS ACTIVE DUTY ARMY FLASHBACKS which was my #1 complaint about the show. Hopefully they finally hired a vet (or at least listened to the ones they have on the show) to make the flashbacks more authentic.
