Reanimal Nintendo Switch 2 vs Xbox Series S Graphics Comparison

Hardly the game we need comparisons to but they look basically identical in a few shots I think switch 2 looks better, but in some the Xbox does.
Regardless it's a great game and people will enjoy it

Big graint of salt with this youtuber, but based we see there..... SW2 has no shadows but also reduced or no AO, a lot less vegetation, and reduced atmospheric and environmental effects. On the other hand, SW2 possibly has some better image quality thanks to DLSS when still, but not so noticeably in motion.

In principle, this is typical in SW2 vs XSS comparisons, but there's a striking detail... XSS doesn't seem to have a 60fps mode?? It clearly has the capacity to do so, judging by what we've seen in quality mode. The only thing I can think of is that SW2 is operating at an ultra-low resolution (~400p) and thanks to DLSS the image quality is not grotesque or horrible, while for XSS, a resolution of that size or higher with TAA would be no acceptable.

That's not a good comparison. Who is this YouTube channel? lol

Pretty sure they are showing the switch 2 performance mode which lacks effects.

Thats the performance mode (targeting 60fps), the Quality mode (30fps) has shadows, the Series S lacks of performance mode like the Switch 2. Both games running at 30 fps, the Switch 2 has better IQ.
no that screen is from quality mode. he compared both. shadows and effects are much lower quality or missing on switch 2 even in quality mode its easy to spot, also the 60fps hardly hits 60fps and broken, drops to 40fps are common. even quality mode is a unstable 30fps that drops below 30fps and terrible frame pacing.

So the Switch 2 is duking it out with.....Series S? DF like to match it against...PS4

Switch 2 owners really living the high life, and in glorious 30fps to boot.

series s is running the vast majority of games at double the fps and higher settings so what do you expect when almost every port is ps4 settings at 30fps with dlss. even this game run much better on series s with higher settings.

yeah, but if you add a better hdd, and more/faster ram, plus compute, and some RT transistors, and DLSS, and stand far enough from the tv, and squint...

...this is practically a ps4 version 🤷‍♂️

How many games have quality RT on switch 2 that's not broken and looks better then baked?

that lighting is literally broken as you can see from the video in star wars.

meanwhile in the switch 2 playing with power thread they are going crazy or final fantasy 7 remake basically looks the same and runs the same as the ps4 version.

well even reanimal series is running much higher settings and solid 30fps while switch 2 is missing many shadows, ao, and effects while running at a very unstable 30fps while series s is running this locked 30fps. just cause some bad ports get close to series s doesn't mean its near series s. case in point ps4 version of SF6 looks better then series s that does not mean ps4 is close to series s and some ps4 pro games as well actually run at higher resolutions then series s but the vast majority of ports series s run circles again ps4/ pro and switch 2.

i've got an extension cable that reaches from the power outlet above my sink

Dude cranked everything to high on the deck ( this was the demo btw )

Which is why i dont get the praise for switch 2 hardware. coming out 4 years later and its trading blows with hardware that's a open platform pc. Ps6 handheld is coming out 2 years later and gonna blow both away which is expected form a mass produced subsidized locked platform.

It amazes me how far Nintendo fans are behind the graphics curve. I'm also impressed by visuals but lest not we forget that the Switch 2 is a mountain away from what is on new gen and PC. Welcome to 2021~ portable gaming graphics and congratulations on matching maybe a PS4.

I'm not sure how impressed I should be but for the price, not bad. Not the best but you aren't paying GPD Win 5 ridiculousness.

In another thread someone is convinced switch 2 is going to get PS5/PS6 cross gen games.....

For $450 should expect more. Lack of shadows, lack of reflections on the water compared to series s is main things I noticed.

You can only throw so much blunt power at a game before the actual game developers have to write some good code. 99.999% chance that lack of a shadow is not a Switch 2 hardware problem. In fact, fuck it: it's 100% the developers of this game who fucked up in that technical regard.

To be honest first time seeing this guy. Maybe he is, maybe not.
Mozza gets super triggered if you dare to talk about Nintendo in a negative way. So obviously this thread is causing max triggering. Because heaven forbid we should talk about Switch 2 hardware in a switch 2 versus series S graphics comparison thread.....

DLSS upscaling has its limits, seems like an easy fix to disable resource intensive visual effects prior to the upscale to avoid the game turning into a slideshow.

Morons like you and Sub zero rarely trigger me. I find you both very amusing.

These guys are tolls pure and simple. They hang around Nintendo sales and performance threads under the guise of discussion, but in reality are only shit posting most of the time.
I mean what would be the outcome then ? They won't be like "you're right, we shouldn't pinpoint specific stuff to make general assumptions"

It's a dead end

I find it fun to be honest, no biggie if you do not agree. But I still feel a much better question would be why the mods allow them to continue lol..

AC Shadows
Indiana Jones
Now Re Animal… whats wrong with the water in these games?
AC Shadows has just got a new patch, that fixes the water reflections. A lot of this is down to poor optimization and the fact Nintendo have been very slow getting Switch 2 development kits out there. Of course some overlook this as it does not fit their narratives.

I should buy it on Switch 2 too, I barely have time to turn my PS5 on to play it, and the Portal cannot stream this game on PS Plus (yet)

to be honest that is a Nintendo problem, i m 100% sure that Nintendo is not short on money to not be delivering Dev kits left and right for major third party support, but since fans ll defend anything Nintendo does they are doing very slowly cause they seens to be immune to criticism.

Totally agree with you in part, which was why I said Nintendo have been slow to get Switch 2 development kits out there. But you can't suggest Developers are not contributing to any of this.

I dont understand. You click report on the posts that offend you and the mods realise you are a hard-core Nintendo defense force member looking to have entire forum turned into a safespace and ignore you?
