DLSS Quality mode is often better than native. Switch 2 often runs DLSS balanced or performance mode however, and in the case of Cyberpunk it's a dynamic internal resolution while also rendering post processing at that lower resolution (which it doesn't do on PC, on PC post processing is done at the full target resolution)
I'd also say that DLSS being better than native becomes less and less true the lower below 1080p you go... and it also always depends on how bad the normal TAA of the game is of course. like, some games have such terrible TAA that even DLSS performance mode looks better (see Hogwarts Legacy)
That happens with all electronics. My 4090 costed way more than the 4080 and doesn't double the results. The 5090 way more than the 5080, but not a proportional improvement. Pointless to keep complaining about it. We know how this works. The ROG AllY X is handheld PC with all the cons and pros that come with it. I can pay $30 for Cyberpunk Ultimate Edition. Way less than what CDProjekt Red are charging for it in that walled garden on Switch 2 where you cant change any settings to your liking.
Mister Wolf
has been involved in the handheld discussions here long before Xbox threw a sticker on one. You really shouldn't make arguments like that and accuse others of "grasping at straws" at the same time
Ally X can do XeSS 2. It can also do 1080p native with Framegen off. If you cap it at 30 fps, you can probably even go above 1080p. The point is to compare the best of each version. Not the best of one and some random combination on the other.
They are using the same internal resolution for both systems and similar settings for a fair comparison, they only failed by using the frame gen, that makes the whole comparison pointless.
