I'm hoping that this will be longer than LN 1&2.
Any comments about it's length?

Can't wait. Enjoyed the demo more than i've enjoyed full games lately.

Atmosphere and sound was top notch.

I just hope it's not as short as LM1 and 2 from what people have said.

Tempted to buy it, but I'll wait for reviews. Is it buy one copy and someone can play free or you need two copies?

Played the first hour now right into the second chapter. You play as some children who have to escape from an Island. And all enemies until now were either old, ugly men (naked too) trying to catch the children or the skins of old naked men which slither on the ground like snakes and chase you.
If this game would be named "Escape from Epstein Island" I would believe it!
I hope there will be other enemies soon because right now, it's all I can think of! 😂

I find it's more fun to watch people play these games than to play them myself.
Death, avoid trap, Death, avoid trap.

Fair critique. I enjoyed LN more for its atmosphere and Jean-Pierre Jeunet-inspired grotesquerie than for its gameplay. And that's why I'm eager to play REANIMAL.

Yeah looking forward to this. Loved Little Nightmares 1 & 2 and the DLC. Neat games with great atmosphere and music.

Currently rating between 80-84 across all formats on metacritic.

Several mentions to it being much darker than LN which should make for a pretty messed up game. Only poor review is from those nonces on Kotaku. Obviously their opinion is irrelevant.

That puts it right around Little Nightmares 1 and 2 and way above Little Nightmares 3. Good signs!

I've seen some good reviews so I'll snag this in the future. I loved LN2 so RA feels like a nobrainer to get. The boss of LN2 actually had my heart pumping in a way few modern games have managed to. I love how small indie games can produce big feelings.

Lookin forward to it. First time I can play a game like this with the wife. Probably just be bitchin at her the whole time but, should be fun hah.

I downloaded the Switch 2 demo last night, looks pretty awesome to be honest and full of atmosphere. Both the Graphic and Performance modes ran well.

This is what I get for giving EGS a chance.

Edit: Do NOT buy on EGS. Just received an email saying "Thank you for pre-purchasing Reanimal! The title, which was scheduled to launch from prepurchase today, February 13th, 2026, has been delayed for release on the Epic Games Store due to unforeseen circumstances. Another update will be provided soon. You may refund your pre-purchase by following these steps. If you wish to keep your pre-purchase, you do not have to do anything."

Edit2: I can't even refund. What a shitshow.

If anyone has some DLSS settings for this feel free to share em here. I have been using DLSS swapper to set it to 4.5.

just watched jacksepticeye play this as he is a huge fan of the developer.

game is only 3 hours long. he was mildly pisssed it was so short.

he really liked the game, but hated the length and how abrupt the ending is.

Hmm, 4h on HLtB for Main+Sides. Little Nightmares 2 was 6 1/2h for Main+Sides and I felt that length was perfectly fine and satisfying, but having it be over 2h shorter feels a bit paltry. ReAnimal must be really good to warrant that length. I'll likely pick it up on a very good sale and enjoy it for an evening.

I was looking at the collectors edition and can't help but wonder who would put that pig thing in their house... but ok. Game looks interesting.

I haven't seen or read much to avoid spoilers, but the game definitely looks better than Little Nightmares 3. 40€ price tag is what makes me want to wait for a sale, especially since this is going to be a single playthrough game for me. It should've been given a more attractive pricing imo, like for instance Planet of Lana costs 20€ and that's a great deal for a game like this.

Oh, and 40 is not even the final price since it'll be getting expansions. So yeah, wait for (deluxe edition) sale.

This is a good game, I'm enjoying it. I'm probably like 70% through or so. I don't get the reviews that gave it like a 9 though. Maybe some reviewers grade games like this on a curve given it's a smaller niche title, but a game like this getting a 9 from some reviewers and then a game like Dead Space Remake getting a 9 is crazy. I mean, it's good, but there's nothing that wows me about it. Or any of the Little Nightmares games either. They have amazing atmospheres and stuff, but the puzzle solving is about as simple and uninteresting as it gets, the platforming... same. It's carried by atmosphere, mood more than anything. Like, Limbo and Inside dwarf these games because the platforming and puzzle solving in those games is miles better. Somewhat different games, I know, but I think these games are all kinda inspired by one another so I lump them all in the same bin.

I don't use number scores on my rankings, but if I did I'd give it a solid 7/10.

Got this today, after work, along with some deals... Shit.. it's very good and drips with atmosphere. I can't wait to get into it, in about 3 weeks or so.
