I'm trying to build my collection a little bit more, and what I need now is R&B and soul. Al Green, Marvin Gaye, anyone else who fits that fine kind of musical feel.

Check out some Smokey Robinson--a greatest-hits album for starters.

James Brown is the undisputed Godfather of Soul. If you have the money, shell out for the four-disc Star Time box.

As far as specific albums, Marvin Gaye's What's Going On is his most popular album. I like Here, My Dear a lot, but it's comparatively more experimental, and a little off the wall.

Finally bought a new PSP, but then pushed the demon onto someone else. Jesus.

Definitely Erykah Badu (baduizm/Mama's Gun), James Ingram (thanks, Loki!), Billy Preston, Syreeta Jones, Billy Ocean, Rachelle Ferrell, Stevie Wonder, Joss Stone (her voice is great, the lyrics are questionably lacking, though), Aretha Franklin, Anita Baker, Tina Marie.

There's tons :)
