Yet again I'm begging the wisdom of the GAF tech elite.



I just picked up a sexy as hell special edition 20 gb U2 iPod the other day and want some

equally sexy headphones in the $50 price range. All styles welcome but I'd prefer a

less bulkier style.



Feel free to recommend some godly expensive headphones as well because I'm a whore

and I could be tempted to sway from my original price range.

Or if you don't mind the bulk, Grado RS60.

i've owned a pair of alessandro ms-1s (similar to grado sr80 but slightly more neutral), senn HD600 (my current), and various cheap phones, if you have any questions about those. at home i have an "all-out" meta42 amplifier. portable i use internal amps.

right now my portable phones are senn mx550s (25 from circuit city, very smooth if forward midrange, sometimes shrill highs, but very high sensitivity - excellent detail)

what kind of music do you listen to? how much do you care about form factor? are you willing to spend even more on an external amplifier? do you want them for home use as well as portable? etc.
