Recommend some really good non-Megaman/Castlevania platformers for the good ole NES?

I'm trying to binge some classic NES platformers that I may have missed. Never really got into Megaman since I find them just too brutally hard. And I've already beaten the Castlevanias.
Same reason I try to avoid the Ninja Gaiden games, they are too hard. But I've enjoyed the Contra games and also Batman. Are there any other good ones that are not super hard?

Right now I'm playing Shatterhand, that game is amazing for a NES game.

FWIW, Ninja Gaiden 2 is a LOT easier than the first one. I beat it in one weekend back in the day, whereas the first one took me weeks.

Faxanadu, Zelda 2, Star Tropics to name three are really solid platformer style/adventure/RPG games.

Well Mario is obviously essential but you prolly just didn't mention it

Ducktales is good, but capcom did other platformers that are supposed to be good too that I never played like rescue rangers

Maybe moon crystal?

GI JOE seriously GI joe is on par with the best of capcom or konami , the capcom published the atlantis factor isn't nearly as good
, power blade 1+2, shadow of the ninja, ninja crusaders, krion conquest (original concept do not steal) are all good stuff

Strider and Cobra Command.

Strider is easy as hell. Cobra Command can be aggravating with the controls. I put CC as kind of platformer with the way you got to move your heli in caverns.

Yeah that gi joe game was, from my memory of it 20 years ago, was really good. Maybe the only good gi joe game.

Blaster master has platforming on your tank and then a top down view like star tropics when you enter a lair.

It kinda sucks now but I liked elevator action as a kid.

A relatively late NES release (1991), your weapon is a sword + 3 sub weapons that have limited ammo. there are I think 3 topdown driving sections that are Spyhunter-like
this is one of my favorite NES games and it doesn't get talked about nearly enough!

Let's see, what hasn't been named in this thread yet...

Journey to Silius
Rockin' Kats
Gimmick!
Adventure Island II

There's definitely more I'm forgetting. The NES has a long list of platformers, it'd probably be easier to list the stinkers.

Kid Icarus is good too. One of my first NES games back then. Perfect difficulty level. Later in the game you get OP'ed, but has a good mix of overworld and dungeon design.

Kid Icarus nowadays is best played on 3DS tho imo
that 3D remaster they did is such an improvement! even without the 3D effect.

Super Mario Brothers 3, Ninja Gaiden 1-3, Holy Diver, Shadow of the Ninja, Bionic Commando, Chip & Dale Rescue Rangers 1 & 2, and Batman for starters.

I am DISMAYED that no one here has mentioned Kirby's Adventure, which is an instant NES classic. Shame on you all!

Honorable mentions:
Rygar
Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers
Little Nemo
DuckTales

Code Name: Viper is a lot of fun. (Capcom)

Trojan is pretty cool too, also Capcom.

Karnov is great

Kabuki Quantum Fighter, it's like Ninja Gaiden but you attack with your hair.

Batman, the drum machine alone makes it worth checking out.

Oh Shit,

Bucky O'Hare from Konami. Legit one of the best games on the NES. Beautiful graphics, absolute banger of a soundtrack. Game is tough as nails but definitely worth checking out for the music and graphics alone.
