Rediscovering games on the GBA SP2/Micro

(Bare in mind I suck at taking pictures - can't hold a camera steady for my life.)

Much as I did upon getting my beloved and trusty Platinum SP, the moment I got my SP2 I started firing up as many of my favorites as possible to take a look at the image quality difference. So far, it's been amazing. Yoshi's Island in particular looks stunning on the screen, as I'm sure it does on the Micro's. For grins, I've also fired up a few GB titles (MGS, rock) and, they too, have received new life. So, GAF, what games are you learning to love all over again on your 246th revision GBA? :D

Mario and Luigi, Astro Boy, Super Mario 3, and Circle of the Moon are what I've been playing on my new SP. Circle of the Moon is especially improved, excellent game. All of them look beautiful. I decided to buy a second SP+ because my girlfriend was hogging it. My 6th gba :\ Gameboy 4 life.

Graphite doesn't look too bad. I had to settle on the Teal color when I got mine, which I've grown to appreciate.

I mostly bought it for DW3 GBC, which I put several hours into before the October flood started(reached Dharma Shrine for those that know the game). I put a bit of time into MMZ1, which looks spectacular on the system, shame I don't much care for the game. More recently I finally began playing Sacred Stones for the first time.

It's funny how blinding that step up to high voltage brightness is. I often want to turn it on in games, but the resulting shock to my pupil is so great I usually keep the screen on dim. Takes time to adjust, heh.

I'd still rather own a Micro, but I have a good half-dozen GBC games I would like to have access to.

I replayed through Fusion and Aria of Sorrow on my Micro. Both of them looked gorgeous on that screen. I'll probably go through M & L yet again on my Micro in due time. Same goes for FE 7, though I have probably played through it too many times.

I still need to pick up an SP v.2 however. I'll probably replay through DW 1-3 first.

Is the dpad really a problem?

I haven't had any issues with it, but I'm told it can cause problems in fighting games and the such.
