Was at a club last night and the DJs didn't play 1 or 2 songs, didn't play a set, they played an entire night of reggaeton. If you aren't in Miami, LA, New York, or Puerto Rico you might not know what reggaeton is. It's that Spanglish hip hop/merengue/dance hall fusion and it's exploding.

i think this will be the big thing for 2005, there already a couple musicvids here on tv in holland, and a friend of mine who is a dj was booked a couple of times now for only spinning reggeaton.

i think Ivy Queen and Daddy Yankee are ok, but it's music i don't listen to at home but it's perfect for in the club.

Nore seems to be making a lot of reggeaton lately.

When you're at the club, and some voluptuous woman is freakin' you to the tune of reggaeton, you're not really thinking about the integrity of the music.

it has alot to do with reggae/dancehall nowadays, maybe not so much to do with reggae of 20 years ago

The Ivy Queen though is really a talent. Go download some of her stuff, you won't be dissapointed.

Thats all you really hear out here in L.A. latin partys and clubs. Its the best stuff we got to get the party heated up. The only thing I can't stand myself, is when people bump it in there car, just doesn't sound right. Like bumping Rock at high volume in a car just aint right.
