I have a boyfriend of about 2.5 months and everything is great and no problems at all. Earlier this year I dated a guy a couple times but called it off because he was 1) in the closet and 2) claimed to be bisexual. I'm not stupid and wasn't about ot be used so no big loss to me, he was still a cool guy. Not like most of hte other gay guys, he was actually a guy first who happened to be gay. He admitted to really "sweating" me but understood. God knows this guy could be a slut if he wanted to (and probably is, I jsut don't know)

Recently, I said I was going to see a friend do kareoke and he asked if I wanted to ride along. Whats the rule with boyfriends here? Should I alert the boyfriend of our history? His best friend is someone he used to date actually. I have no interest in this guy anymore and am extremely happy with my boyfriend. With everyone gone for the summer and the boyfriend living an hour away, its tough finding people to shoot the shit with the 4 or so days a week I dont see my SO.

Personally, I think that it would be in good concience for you to inform your boyfriend of the situation/your background with this other guy. Sure, your boyfriend might become concerned at first, but if he trusts you as much as you trust yourself, then it shouldn't be much of a problem. I don't really know you, but it sounds like you genuinely love your boyfriend and are loyal to him; so, you should be able to stand up to any moves this guy may happen to put on you (assuming things do go bad). I'd say go and hang out with him, let him know that you have a boyfriend and see whether or not he respects it. If all goes well, you'll have found someone new and cool to hangout with.

I'm with Waychel. Good advice.
Dude, so early into a relationship you don't want to be keeping secrets. And in all likelihood it will come out later, and then your bf will be cut as to why you didn't tell trust him enough him in the first place.
Turn the tables around.... would you like to be told, or would you prefer to have it kept from you? And how would you react if you found out later through a third party?

Well, I'm not opposed to telling him but not sure if I should have to. He plays in a straight and gay volleyball league several nights a week. He meets all sorts of gay people all the time and even goes to a bar from time to time with his best friend (also an ex). Not to mention he goes to a very gay gym and is changing clothes with them. If I can trust him to be faithful (and i know he is) then I would like him to do the same I guess. I know he wouldn't cheat but that doesn't mean hes not looking.

Thanks, Diablos!
