>Batman on Film
> "Batman V. Superman is too smart for Marvel audiences."

Fair and non-biased reporting.

I doubt it's for any of these reasons. It's more that Warners is risking potential decades worth of films generating billions in revenue on one movie. If I'd be in their shoes, I'd be scared as all hell because if I fuck it up, everybody is out for my head.

had to look up who it was. Looks like Chris Terrio did the screenplay for...Argo? that's the film that's too deep for audiences?

Batman V Superman

Ghost Directed by:
Terrance Malick

Trailers make so much sense now. WB been trying to make the movie look as popcorn as possible to save the ticket sales from this art house disaster.

the movie is probably full of endless pits of backstories on top of backstories on top of backstories that is signature of Zack Snyder being unable to tell a story

Last week HitFix reported that Warner Bros. was worried about Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and the internet freaked out! Now a second source, Batman on Film, backs up that story, but for a different reason.

According to BOF, Warner Bros. is indeed concerned about Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but not because of the quality of the movie. They’re more concerned about how the audience will respond to it, and how it will perform at the box office.

BOF speculates that the mainstream audience is used to the “popcorn” movies that Marvel produces, and won’t respond well to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’s deep story that was written by an Oscar winner.

I hear way too much "Chris Terrio won an Oscar" and not enough "Argo was a really well written movie."

Yet apparently the Oscars are considered a joke here on GAF

Yeah, ok, sure.

We're worried are movie might be too amazing for people! Can people's minds handle such things?

Man how great would it be if it turned out the trailers and promo stuff made this thing out to be something completely different than what it actually is.

Like Liam Neeson's The Grey or something.

Lol this movie is going to suck.

This is a total job interview answer also. What's your greatest weakness? Well, I'm just *too* smart.

We've been pulled in hook, line and sinker guys.

No one serious would actually utter such a line, hilarious nevertheless.

As someone who likes the DC universe, and the Batman series, I won't be watching this as Ben Affleck is Batman. I dislike him greatly as an actor.

Argo was not a good movie. Baffled by its praise.

People will watch this movie regardless. Not sure if they will re-watch it though.

not just on GAF. The oscars have absolutely nothing to do with the quality of a film and everything to do with hollywood politics. You get to see enough of them and it becomes blindingly obvious.

edit: If they're smart, they cut out all traces of Doomsday and the inevitable Dragonball Z fight. The movie might be salvageable yet.

This movie is a clusterf*** of second guesses and bad trailers.

If it does great at B.O it will do so in spite of itself and those in charge.

That sucks. Dude looks like one of the better things to come out of all comic book movies in the next few years. Trailers and TV spots have really been selling his Bruce Wayne and the Alfred casting

Plus suicide squad making the rest of the bat verse look tight too

Hahaha, bullshit.

Yeah, I like the casting of Bruce and Alfred. Especially Alfred.

This is a very weird article.

First of all, it is a report on another site's opinion piece of a comment made by yet another site about something WB allegedly said. What the heck.

There's also nothing in said opinion piece that even said anything close to "deep story written by an Oscar winner".

I hope the audience will understand the emotional depth of Doomsday as he punches stuff.

Doomsday was a tortured soul in his youth, never given a chance. Each punch he throws is a hit against his past. Look closely and you can see the tears swell in his eyes as he kills countless people.
