I'm looking for a list of every shmup released in the last two years, including Dreamcast (excluding DS/GBA/PSP).

If you can help, I'd appreciate it. I know a bunch, but getting a definitive list is pretty difficult.

One more question, and this is more opinion based I guess if you can't find sales.

In terms of shmups, which platform do you think is generally more profitable for them: Dreamcast or PS2?

added the gc version of chaos field. not sure whether to call space raiders a shmup...i haven't personally played it. is it straight-up space invaders, or is it more like cabal or nam 1975?

the only upcoming releases i can think of are ps2 versions of homura and trizeal. there are probably more.

edit: going by first-week japanese sales, ps2 shmups do better than dreamcast shmups. i don't have exact numbers.

I've been trying to single credit Mushihimesama on the normal difficulty. I make it to level 5 and usually have one life and no bombs left.

Damn I need more shooters.

I tried the online mobile phone "demo" version of xyanide. if the xbox version uses the same idea, then it has to be the worst idea/variation of a shooter ever.

i played an xbox demo at e3 a couple years ago. it was a total mess. i thought i was misunderstanding some major feature...surely enemies weren't supposed to just shrug off your shots on the rare occasions when you managed to hit them.
