I can already tell I wouldn't like this magazine? Too many high scores thrown around.

I'm a person who believes 10s should be very rare and 9s saved for games that are special.

How do these European magazines get to review PDZ before the Americans?

They review a late build.

And yes, Microsoft (or whoever the publisher here is) has got to say it's okay to review that build. They don't want people to review too crappy builds :)

BTW in the UK version of SC3 it mentions a memory card incompatibility. The game is awesome. One of the best this year. One player unlocking can be annoying.

Well..

More info, then. MS hired an apartment in Stockholm, which contained HD-screens and four Xbox 360's (I think it was four, at least). It's all there in PR purposes. This is where they played it, amongst other games like PGR3. They had access for a week or something I guess. When winners in various Xbox360-competitions wasn't there playing, I mean :)

By the way, a recent market study concluded that Gamereactor has passed Super Play in terms of number of readers.

Which, coincidentally, prompts me to list the review scores of the November issue for comparions (out a week ago, no 360 reviews).

Need for Speed:MW - 7 (8)
Quake 4 - 6
The Movies - 9 (9)
Soul Calibur 3 - 8 (9)
Age of Empires III - 8
TMNT: Mutant Melee - 2
Kirby Power Paintbrush - 7
007: From Russia With Love - 6
Gun - 7 (5)
King Kong - 8 (6)
Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance - 8
Call of Duty 2 - 9 (8)
Pokemon XD - 5
Battlefield 2: Modern Combat - 7
Star Wars Battlefront 2 - 8

Gamereactor is a FREE magazine you can pick up in any EB or GAME store you like. Of course people take it then! And no, Gamereactor isn't good.

Umm, am I the only one who isn't quite getting what the brackets mean? Are those second opinion reviews ala GI?

Yeah they are second opinions.

Oh and about SPs scores. They're complete rubbish. The best of SPs gaming journalists left and started the magazine RESET (together with some PCgamer staff), so basically what's left is a magazine with people that couldn't get another job.

No, you're wrong. ALL the people at Super PLAY left, except for one guy (he could have gone with the others, but ge got a better position by staying I believe). And they all left because of issues with their new publisher and the way they wanted to handle the whole group of papers tied to the publisher.

So the people working at SP now are all new, at least to that particular magazine. Though many of them have been working on different sites, studied videogames and whatnot.

But yes, RESET is far superior in most ways.

The Chief Editor at Super Play is a fucking joke. He takes EA moneyhats and says everyone loves Pro Evolution Soccer only because it's from Japan. What a fucking turd :lol :lol

I totally boycott the mag only because of him.

Well my point still stand. They suck. So does RESET to some degree but atleast they have a couple of good writers.
