Thier moderation is just based on a drop down menu, if they don't like what your saying and it's not breaking the rules they'll just select anything. Multiple infractions is their favorite "Rule".

I'm no fan of Rhonda and there is a lot not to like about her but I don't understand how her comments about the physical advantages of trans women over their cis gendered opponents are transphobic. Is this just something that we are not allowed to discuss because it's uncomfortable? Just today there is an article:

about a trans woman dominating a weightlifting competition breaking 4 world records in the process. There are competitors that feel like they don't have the ability to compete with her and are considering dropping out of competition because of this trans woman's unfair advantage (she competed in male competitions for 9 years before her transition). I strongly believe in LGBTQ rights and I am anti discrimination of anyone but it definitely looks like bulking up as biological male for a decade has given her a serious unfair advantage. Am I transphobic for thinking this way?

I wish there was a mod that i could actually have a conversation with.. Just looking at some of the post people have been banned for above .. It just seems like resetera members aren't allowed to have differing opinions.

Transphobia is defined as "Dislike of or prejudice against transsexual or transgender people."

Or irrational fear of, aversion to, or discrimination against transgender people

If resetera has its own definition, then that should be readily available in the terms of service (or something)

Some of the bans above are opinions and have not voiced any hate whatsoever.

Person a saying its ok to go 60 mph in a 55 limit area... Person b says no you cant do that.. And .... Person c says fuck person a i hate them stupid speeding fuckers. In this stupid scenario resetera bans person b and c

Got a duration pending ban that turned to a month at the tail end and it's given me some time to think. Yup, there are other places I can go to shoot the shit about the stuff I talked about there.
... The infuriating thing about the ban is that I carefully described what I was afraid would happen for speaking up and it played out exactly as I predicted (because I slipped at the start and didn't qualify my opinion). I was so mad about it because I'm generally naive and believe most matters can be talked through but after spending some time searching through the site I'm really not sure that some of the staff are even acting in good faith. Maybe that doesn't sound so harsh to some people, but that's a pretty heavy accusation to me.

I'm attracted to women.

If this is real, could I have a source for that? That last part is too overt.

I vented about the things that were bothering me in the Mental Health thread and the Autism thread on ResetEra, well I did also make a bit of an off-topic post in another thread too (I wrote in the toonami thread that I would be responding about what's going on during the episode, but I'm busy being attacked by trolls on reddit, but that I do notice that a cat has become a plant and now they are facing a plant that shoots air bullets while the guy that caused this talks about his hand fetish and his kid spies on his dad and that I look forward to re-watching the episode later,) and maybe I shouldn't of wrote that.

And I was banned. With the ban reason of "We believe being on this forum is not good for your mental health."

I sent some e-mails with Contact Us on the bottom of the site, and they didn't respond to me; however they changed the ban reason to say that I am permanently because I am a threat to both myself and the community and that I was banned with no warning because of the severity of it.

I wish they actually warned me before banning me. But alas. I accept the ban. (Not really. Why must you ban me Era! I'm going there less and less, but people keep making threats that I could contribute in, but I am banned from there. I thought Era was perfect, but now I have like a Love/Hate relationship to it. I love it because people talk about things that I am also interested in, such as anime and video games and some other things; but I dislike that I was banned from there with no warning beforehand. I sent like 9 e-mails to Era saying I was banned with literally no warning beforehand and to please unban me, but no ones' responded to me. I almost wonder if the legion of haters/trolls following me around somehow contacted the admins there or what the hecka happened.)

So yeah I was banned with no warning beforehand, for venting about my problems in the Mental Health thread and the struggles that I have as a person with aspergers' syndrome in the Autism thread there, and maybe for the off-topic post I made in a toonami thread,

I have to say the bolded comes across as confusing.

1. They rarely ever respond to mails, and if they do, its weeks if not months later.
2. Changing the ban reason is a common feature employed by some of the staff. It ensures that, along with duration pending, there is a margin from which they can edit their reasonings after the fact.
3. Whilst ERA in the early days warned more people than it banned, the opposite is in full effect: Bans are far more common than warnings. And what gets warned, is often questionable. Advocating murder may very well just be a warning whilst saying you like a certain game be a week ban or a false equivalency.

I thought Era was perfect, but now I have like a Love/Hate relationship to it. I love it because people talk about things that I am also interested in, such as anime and video games and some other things; but I dislike that I was banned from there with no warning beforehand.

No place is ever perfect, Hamster. You may have the impression it was perfect for you because for all its intents and purposes, ERA does tend to look out over the minorities of this planet. Just in a very haphazard way that gains them no points, but alas, they atleast do that. So i can understand that such a safe place is appealing. However, you would be ignoring ERA's global image by doing so.

Whether you will find GAF a good substitute is up to you. Perhaps you feel right at home, perhaps the rather direct nature of the topics and posters may have you experience pushback. So the best possible advice is to just have a look around and converse with posters.

With that said, Welcome to GAF and i hope you will enjoy your activity here.
