Resident evil 4 GC vs ps2

if the PS2 version has more content, i am still going to buy the cube version, and later on buy the ps2 version if it's worth it. Simple as that.

why would you want to wait 10-12 months extra for this game when you have the option to buy it in 1 month.

Because I don't want to purchase a Gamecube.

GameCube owners should buy it in January period. If there is added content in the PS2 version and you are interested in buying it, you can always sale your GCN copy. Anyway, Capcom will wait a year and released a Complete Biohazard Series pack for GameCube and PlayStation 2 (including ports of REmake and REØ I bet)...

If I thought the Cube version would be superior, I'd probably feel differently.

I think having the game come out nearly ONE FULL YEAR earlier and better overall visual look heavily outweighs minor extras.

You can pick up a used GC for 50 dollars, the cost of a new game.

but you don't know anything about the PS2 version so why are you feeling the way you do. The extra content could also be really really gay like a trailer or promo posters.

Well.. this is... nvm. If you don't own a GC now. You never will. Too bad for you. AAA+ games you'll never play.

:lol

uhh he said spectacular textures, not specular maps. Read the post man

Do you even know what a map is? Geez......

You guys should ask to yourselves this: If the textures look bad already on the GCN, what kind of quality can you expect from a system that has less and much slower RAM?

How do you think the ps2 port would compare to the GC orginal?

Almost perfect ( like viewtiful Joe) or horrible (like ps2 wreckless, compare to xbox version)

I'm pretty sure Capcom developed Resident Evil 4 with some sort of portability in mind, so I'm sure the game doesnt push the GC as hard as it couldve. I think Capcom designs all their games with all 3 consoles in mind, even though they may lead with a system, It seems that they use engines that will work on any of the consoles.

I doubt that. Your pretty much in denial about the PS2 version and your going to get it no matter what. Nothing is going to change your mind so don't act like that.

If you buy the MKDD Bundle now you can get the system new for $50 after you trade in the extra stuff if you don't want it. Plus by the time the PS2 version comes out the Cube version is going to be in the $25-$30 range versus the full priced PS2 version.

So you are going to pay MORE for a version that is a year old, has worse load times, worse graphics, and wasn't made for the system. :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol

If you people were real gamers you would get it on the Gamecube but obviously your not. You guys will spend $1000 on a tv but you can't shell out some cash for a system. Unbelievable! Oh well its your loss because while your playing the PS2 version everyone else will be playing Zelda/Xenon and then you'll make a post about it on the boards and everyone will be like "Yeah we already beat RE4 nine months ago". :lol

leave him alone, if he's wants to wait for the ps2 version then let him be.

I'm sure there are (and will be) many others.
