Hope the Ultimate HD Edition will also be released on PS4. Would by again (for the 6th time btw.).
The pre-load is up. You may have to restart Steam before it shows up.
Is it getting a midnight launch or 1pm EST that day?
Is everyone else's RE4 pre-load also 9.1 GB?
Aw yeah. Good looking out.The pre-load is up. You may have to restart Steam before it shows up.
WHAT ???
the Xbox 360 version is the same of the Wii version ?
that mean i can see the same effect of the gamecube version ?

There were some effects where it was basically "GameCube, do effect 23 for me" and the GameCube just went "okay".
The Wii still had the same functionality, so it could replicate the same effects.
The 360 version does not because nobody wants to spend money to re-implement GameCube hardware effects.
Currently, the only way you're going to get RE4 in HD+all of the effects without Dolphin is if they bring this to the Wii U, which still supports the GameCube functionality that RE4 used.

From what I've heard you have to use junctions to change preloaded drives. So I guess Steam doesn't let you pick what hard drive you want to pre-load on?
It's worth keeping in mind that Dolphin does not offer 60fps though.
Aren't there still major sound issues?

You can pre-load to another drive by:
- Installing Link Shell Extension
- Moving the depotcache folder (located in the root of the Steam folder) to your desired drive
- Right-clicking on said folder and selecting "Pick link source"
- Navigating to the root of your Steam folder, right-clicking somewhere within the empty space, hovering over "Drop link as" and finally selecting "Symbolic link"

Personally I'm just going to preloaded to SSD, play, and then move it to my games drive after I'm done for my first play session/card idle.
Drive by answer - nope, it does not from what I have seen.
I haven't preloaded MGR because of this - why would I want to preload it on SSD when I don't need that SSD speed (for that game) and my game collection is on fast HDD?
Nope, but there is a roundabout method:
Problem is that you can't even use symlinks to fix it. Steam still wants you to have enough space on whichever drive Steam is installed.
On top of that, Steam always unpacks on the same drive, so you need *twice* the size of your download.

Does Steam version support 360 controller?
Q: What are the available controller options?
A: The game supports full mouse/keyboard control as well as XInput-based devices such as the Xbox 360 game pad. Inventory management is also done via keyboard or game pad.

I get constant slowdown, therefore sound stuttering during the rainy chapter. Don't know if it's a matter of changing settings because I thought my setup would be able to handle RE4 no problem. i5 2550k @ 4.5 GHz, GTX 770 4GB.I've not had any major issues.
Hoping the GMG keys get here soon. I wanna preload!
It says on the site that keys won't be made available until the game is released on Steam. I haven't used GMG in a while but is that always strictly the case?
Its probably down to when the publishers supply them with keys, every publisher is different and they can't properly account for when they will actually receive them.
It depends. Sometimes they give it to you before release, sometimes after.
I love GMG, but they can be pretty unpredictable.

... but a simple specular lighting effect cannot be that hard to re-implement for another kind of shaders on a vastly more powerful machine, if they want to.Based on. Some things are difficult or impossible to emulate when they rely on specific hardware properties.
Got an email from GameFly that the release date was changed to the 27th, so that's good for receiving keys in time at least.

If this was gonna have some money off, it would've been shown by now on Steam, right?
It would have done so the moment it went up for purchase.
