I like re6 for what it is, playing it from time to time on the switch.

HD has made this kind of gore laughable.
The more detail we get the more obvious it becomes that what we're seeing is fake.
The future of horror gaming is this level of gore delivered at the PS2's level of detail.

Because the trailers made it seem like a death flag was on him but at the same time Capcom has pulled the nonsense that Claire is not aging normally because of her previous G Virus infection so it's hard to tell how serious they are about the mortality of these characters.

Nah, japanese most of thei times just have exagerated, laughable gore, something like tlou2 has both fidelity and realism because they are more grounded something like ill is the future.

Even the sound design is exagerated and silly.

Thank for the reveal now I can go back to putting this game on the back burner for another 2~ years until I inevitably buy it for less than $25 during a Capcom Steam Sale and then it will sit in my Steam Library collecting dust until I eventually get around to play it.

It is bad but the entire series has been retconned all over the place so w/e.

Resident Evil needs recurring antagonists and not jobbers, that's all I want from this series.

Also there is one mistake people made about the leaks regarding leon.
He doesn't de-age, he just looks healthier. They spread that shit like wildfire lol.

Most of the game's meat is going to be replaying on higher difficulty modes. And maybe if they announce something alongside the launch trailer. Mercenaries mode was revealed around the launch trailers for their other recent games.

Otherwise it's longevity is going to be supplemented by DLC or modding scene.
