Yes. Why wouldn't you? Wavebirds also have way more battery life than the 360 controllers, btw.

If power charges concern you, yes. Infact, many people do worry about the electrical use of computers and consoles. I pay for utilities, so this does not concern me.

Having recently bought a car, I can safely say yes. Gas mileage is one of the first things I looked at when choosing a car.
Maybe you have unlimited cash resources that you don't have to worry about ancillary fees, but that doesn't mean the rest of us do. There is no benefit to pretending things are cheaper than they really are.
