Returning my iRiver H320 for an H340

I've decided instead of getting music for this Christmas, to upgrade the iRiver that I've had for less than 30 days.

The only problem is I'll have to return my current iRiver H320 which I've bought at Best Buy. I'm not sure if Best Buy will give me my money back so that I can add the extra 200 that I have to the money I'd be getting back from my returned iRiver.

The H340 is basically the same thing as the H320 except with a longer battery life right? And do would Best Buy allow me to return the iRiver I've had and been using for more than a month?

Get this it's so cute :p

Doesn't Best Buy charge a re-stocking fee or something?
iRiver since it has more features, more processed sound etc been over it a hundred times. Although with Academic Discount it could be cheaper.

wow, once again iriver one-ups apple in engineering, yet they'd still get owned by the mini.

Looks. UI. Academic Discount. iPod = mp3 player to most.
Better in terms of bang for you buck, more features (line out, radio etc)
Sound quality is more subjective.though.

Should I hold off on a 4th generation 20gig ipod this xmas?

Is there a new 20 gig Iriver coming out soon?
if you wanna get an iriver i'd actually suggest the older hp-120 series. its 20 gig, has 12/14 hours of battery life, fm radio and a remote control w/ lcd display. but its been discontinued by iriver for the 300 series devices.
if you wanna get an ipod, get one. its the lexus of mp3 players, if you will.

There is also a 20 Gig model with the same design as above by iRiver.

So I personally would wait. :D

If you want a mp3 player than either a iPod, Creative, Rio, iRiver are all fine (depends on key factors sound, UI, quality etc in which some models lack others are better). You should check out the iRiver- there's no harm.

I think:
Rio is coming out with the Chroma
iAudio is coming out with the M5.

However it is foreseeable within the next 6-8 months there will be video playback- if you want something to play music you don't really need to wait.

Nitewulf is right unleass you want to really view pictures get the older 120 series.

Same battery, double the hard drive space. The 340 has a 40-gig drive.

Those iRivers look really really good!

If its better than the iPod, howcome its not at popular??

Marketing, pure and simple. Well, that and iTunes, which is great in a lot of ways. The iRiver wins out in terms of flexibility, sound quality, and price. iPod wins in terms of design, marketing and software. Take your pick.

Question:

Why iRiver over an Ipod?

I'm thinking about a 20gig ipod for xmas

Because iRiver 3====D iPod

Since Best Buy doesn't carry the H340, I'm going to buy the iRiver Multimedia Player 20 gig

Man, I'd really like that new style Iriver at 20gigs! So hot lookin!

If its gonna be 400, I don't want it. If its 300 like Apple's 20gigger, I want it!

It will definitely be some where around the 250-300$ price range for the 20gig version thats coming out next year.

i think the above one is the 5 gig version as compared to the mini, right?
the 20 gig should be bigger. now i feel kinda bad, meh, would have been too long of a wait anyway. dig the touch pad though, everybody should steal that idea from apple.

Wow thats awesome. :)

I hope they make that with 40 gigs cause I'm running out of space on my h120 and that just looks plain sexy, I wold definte upgrade.

:lol Still though the price will too mcuh for the Australian domestic market so it's okay. I think 363,000.00 KRW = 342.356 USD for the 5GB model but apparently the price will be competitive with the mini so it will be less - as usual the rest of the world will get shafted so we will have to make up for the better deal America gets.
I think the 5GB model goes on sale in Korea on the 22nd so the 20Gig model wouldn't be far off 3-4 months.
