For a system touted to be able to pick out different voices and know who is saying them.....I don't think being in a room with a little echo should be the problem.

If I hear someone say they want to play COD: Ghost on next gen I'm going to go crazy.

COD bros are the only guys buying Xbox Ones at launch.
Even with the arguably better launch lineup, COD: Ghosts is going to dwarf all other game sales on this platform.
Exclusives not named Forza are going to be in for a world of hurt.

I think that's part of it. Kinect 2.0 may be crap, but the studio may have something to do with it, as Brad on the GB thread said Kinect was doing alright.
