Revolution Controller hint from Reggie on G4tv

I just got finished done watching G4's interview with Reggie (Am I the only one shocked by G4's quality this week?) And he let loose this tidbit about the Revolution controller.

No. I have been blown away by their relevance this E3. Besides Morgan Webb's lame introductions to and from commercials (grrrr), all of the hosts have handled themselves remarkably well. Adam Sessler, despite resembling a crack addicted gerbil that's been fed nothing but caffeine for days on end, has really performed well in interviews. Kevin Pereira's done a solid job, as usual, and the other hosts haven't been too shabby either (IGN's editorial director, Geoff Keighly, etc).

I've gotten a lot more out of G4 than I have from IGN or Gamespot this E3. Hats off to them for managing to pull some respectable coverage.

As for the comment on the Revolution's controller, I don't find it very surprising. After all, the only controller ports were for GC, a controller not suited to classic gaming, so making a versatil controller's probably a good idea.

Yeah, they surrpised me too, especially compared to their previous E3 coverage.

Yeah that makes me wonder...what about lightgun games, what about a proper D-Pad, etc. etc. Again I think Reggie is either suggesting multiple different controllers or a controller that would allow for all that and more. Problem is, didn't Nintendo say that they were doing away with the D-Pad & A/B Button of yesteryear?

Shoot the touchscreen.

A touchscreen controler would hardly be wireless, it would wear out the battery too fast for a controller. Not feasible, specially for Nintendo so you can take that out of the question.

For me the best hint is in what Iwata said, I think he meant something more than just putting together information when he said to think of it as a puzzle game.
