Usually, though people were pointing to the surprise DS announcement last January/Febuary (can't remember when exactly?) as precedent for this kind of thing. Nintendo did also let one Rev detail slip at one of their last shareholder meetings (the DVI/VGA output).

Don't have 100% absolute confirmation of a shareholders' meeting, but given the length of this thread, and the many other threads out there on other boards, you would think someone would have mentioned that fact if there wasn't actually any conference. Nintendo did announce their Q3 earnings yesterday, so a shareholders' meeting today seems likely (?)

Whoever came up with this rumour really thought it through, if it's fake.

Woah...someone on the IGN boards found this: A patent for a controller that provides physical sensation. At first I thought it was just for the rumble pack (there are pictures of the N64 controller in the patent) but it's from January of 2004.
