The Nintendo Minute: Vol. 20

"This week's question: Do we know everything there is to know about Revolution? And on a related note, when will you reveal the final pieces of the puzzle?"

"George Harrison, senior vice president, marketing and corporate communications, Nintendo of America: No, we have not entirely pulled back the curtain on Revolution just yet. There are lots of exciting details about its capabilities and the unique gameplay you'll experience on it that we're keeping under wraps -- for now. We know you're very anxious to learn the full potential of the system, and soon we'll be able to share more with you!"

"Keeping some Revolution cards close to our chest is a strategic decision on Nintendo's part. Every Nintendo console launch in the past has been shrouded in some level of secrecy due to Nintendo's desire to innovate and provide new gaming features and technology. With Revolution, this could be the most innovative product Nintendo has ever created in the history of the company. So even though we've already shown you the basics on Revolution, you can be sure that there are still a few more surprises we're holding for a later date."

"When? You'll slowly begin to know more as we enter 2006 and as the year unfolds, and especially at E3, you'll be immersed in Revolution news."

"We'll be eager to hear what you have to say and think you'll be pleased with what's in store around the corner!"

Koam I'll paypal you a dollar if you don't make any new threads relating to Nintendo for the rest of the year.

I've been paid far more from the nintendo fanboy commity to make one revolution thread a week. I almost missed it this week due to mario kart.. Still the dollar is tempting :p

Harrison decree's no news on Revolution until 2006. 2 month ban on all revolution rumour topics? That'd be a GAF Christmas!

they should rename that to "the nintendo waste a minute" they been saying the same shit over and over and over again.

All i want is Super Smash Bros. at launch. Thats it. Dont fuck this up Nintendo.

Oh, with online play as well

Doesn't "as we enter 2006" mean - the time leading up to 2006?

Expect more news soon!!!!!!!!!

Technically, you'd think so, but this is the world of business. A world where "over 16 of her greatest hits" actually means exactly 16 of her greatest hits, and where "over three hours of extras on this limited-edition DVD" actually means two hours and fifty-four minutes of extras on that limited-edition DVD.

I'm betting built-in GBA player for all GB games.
We can only hope. Built-in DS player would be nice too.

Seems like all everyone is talking about is emulation games on cartridges, anyone think Nintendo could emulate games on CDs as well?

Come on Cd-i games! :lol

Holodeck!

Actually I don't mind topics like these at all. It's the "What do you think about the BLAH BLAH BLAH....." or "How do you think they will approach the BLAH BLAH BLAHB.." that gets on my fucking nerves. Those should be delegated to some type of sticky where the N-crowd can hypothesize in peace away from the rest of us. This news though confirms yet again that there is indeed more to come hardware wise for the Revolution so this is fine.

Okay, so we might have to wait until E3 to find out all the juicy little secrets. But hey, as long as there ARE secrets (and actual worthwhile secrets, not shitty ones like a free copy of Shadow the Hedghog with each Revolution purchase), then I say we just sit back and chill.

Analog button clicks!

Man, it is so obvious what Nintendo is up to. I don't want to say it, but I know that I am not alone in my thinking.

Stereoscopic 3D. You HAVE to know thats what is coming.

I'm betting on an innovative "black&white" mode...
