A luanch title in America maybe, but it Japan it released 8 months after launch. A fairer comparison would be VF3tb and Ridge Racers (both pretty high end launch games).
Not even, since VF3tb was quickly ported, and by Genki. AM2 could have likely done a much better job. VF3 was also already two years old when it hit the Dreamcast. I'd say Sonic Adventure was the first "big" game for the system, coming out about a month after launch. That first month's few releases were all pure crap (except for VF), too. :lol
A friend (with a PSP) came to home yesterday and had the chance to play it. The game is kinda fun but I suck at puzzle games...perhaps if someone tracks a 2nd hand copy I'll buy it but the one I SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT AT LAUNCH is still awaiting for me. I am talking of course of Vampire Chronicles !!!!!
Returning to Ridge Racers it's a bit curious the fact that not all the tracks look the same. I have the feeling that the Rave Racer mountain track asphalt is rendered at an insanelly high resolution while the one in Ridge Racer City looks pretty crappy...talk about different effects.
