Screens are not very flatering for games like this, but I'm sure it looks fantastic in motion.
Could've got it cheap today at TRU. When my girlfriend played it, it seemed to have a LOT in common with Disney. The fluid animation really was remniscent of Mulan.

If I remember correctly, a few of the guys on the art team were ex-Disney animators
(who worked on Mulan).

Aww I can't wait for this. Im suprised theyre making a sequel considering the first one didn't do too well. Graphics are ok, but the animation, music, story, and presentation were awsome.

The original ranks high in my list of games I've had the most fun playing. That is, except for the weak sauce final confrontation/boss. I'm not even from the camp that feels like you need to have bosses to validate levels/games, but for God's sake if you're gonna do it; do it right.

Is this game co-op through and through?

And aren't the original devs of Mark of Kri working on God of War? IIRC, this game is being made by a different team.

Dude, I totally forgot the final boss. I know he was a little cheap, but the zombies themselves in that stage were the main attraction, I think. It just sucks that it's online anymore. I loved the first with the passion and I hope that somehow in the story (aside from flashbacks) that Rau comes back.

Different teams.

I think Mark of Kri is one of the best games on the PS2, at least from an artistic view.

Sweet! i loved the first one: great animations, great art, cool gameplay. Hopefully the sequel will be more successful.

My only complaint of the original was that it was a bit short. The controls for the original were different and worked very well and I hope it's still intact for this game.

Wow ... in immediate graphical comparison to RE4, it's like a completely different generation. But I'm not trolling, honest! I kind of mean that in a good way, I heard people really enjoyed the first game, and the whole thing is obviously focused in a totally different way to RE. Quality actually seems really evident in these shots, in terms of having had a specific effect in mind, and in having really achieved it. I bet this sucker runs smooth at 60. I'm quite happy with a graphically simple game, as long as this cost has been taken advantage of. Some nice looking design and draw-distance make this one appealing. But - with a nod to the price-drop mentality thread - first a PS2, then the first game, then this ...

:)

Its awesome that Sony decided to give this series another shot, but it sucks that online play was gutted for a quicker release.

No, the GoW team is mostly the team that worked on Kinetica. Some of the GoW sound guys may have worked on Kri tho'.
