Road Rash 3DO

I bought the big, bulky Panasonic 3DO the Christmas that Street Fighter and Samurai Shodown hit. Unfortunately, both were unfaithful ports, but at the time, there was enough hype to suck me in. Road Rash was probably the best game I played on 3DO, but I tried an awful lot of other crap since I worked at an import shop at the time. Need for Speed was underwhelming IMO -- it was slow as molasses on 3DO. And Gex was overrated too.

I don't miss 3DO at all. What's Trip up to these days, anyway?

Digital Chocolate I believe.

Crash n Burn was a pretty impressive game given it was horribly rushed for the launch. It was way better than its Crystal Dynamics stablemate Total Eclipse and had the best draw distance this side of 3DO NFS- a game which I agree had something magic about it.

I seemed to remember BIG mountains looming up impressively in Crash n Burn - something we now take for granted in 3D titles. It seemed pretty 'next-gen' at the time.

The n64 version was pretty cool. I liked the genesis ones a lot too. I remember the 3DO one looked very nice at the time. Anyone have any pics?

Edit: Oh man my memory has failed me..

Nah, that's just a bad pic. I've seen footage of Road Rash 3DO on g4 and it looked wonderful.
