I don't think the article mentions this, but apparently these people were circulating a picture of a strangled corpse with a resemblance to her father and spamming her Twitter with it.
That's not really something you can ignore or forget about and no amount of support will make it better.

There are people who are, for all intents and purposes, insane individuals who take genuine enjoyment out of seeing a strong reaction from something they say. It's basically online game griefers, but taken to the extreme. Griefers like screwing with players and enjoy seeing people getting mad at them. The worst that happens is they get banned from the server. It's of no real-life consequence to them, so they just go around and do it because it's entertaining to them.
These assholes on Twitter, though, enjoy doing the same kind of thing but without being in the online game. It isn't harmless. I mean, the worst griefers in video games do is ruin the fun of people for like 20 minutes. These Twitter assholes do far more damage, but they lack enough perspective to truly realize how much harm they're causing.

Also Robin Williams is one of those rare actors who deaths effect me the most. I pretty much grew up on a lot of his films. The man will be forever remembered and missed. ;(
