This is totally 90s for me. :D In school some had those things...that was around 1994 or something.
Wow you're right. The one with the counter didn't come out until the early 90's.

I think I was out of the gimmick toy stage by the 90's and more into the basketball/baseball stuff. My sister is 3 years younger so I still got to mess with some of her loot.

"At E3, you'll see that Harmonix has spent two years on an engine upgrade and creating the next evolution of Rock Band. Unlike the other guy, we haven't been bringing a new game out every year. Sure, last year we had The Beatles but that was more about the content. This time we have lots of great, new music and some new consumer features you will find interesting.
Hmm.

Oh snap. Technically it's true, but I'm in before Dave says Lego Rock Band, the Metal & Country track packs, AC/DC and all that nonsense.

Lego and Beatles count.

Also, wasn't there only nine months between RB1 and 2? I'm not choosing sides but it's pretty funny they made that comment just because in some technicality-universe they skipped a single year.

"If you ignore the game we put out last year, we didn't put out any games last year. Do not believe the infidels and their illusions."

HMX single handedly created the music game market in the west. Neversoft gave us...boss battles and pig transformations.

From that and what Teasdale said it sounds like they're going with "Technically Beatles didn't count because the main team was working on RB3 the whole time."

The phrase "engine upgrade" has me a bit frightened. It better refer to separate scrolling speed, strum limit, and not a new, potentially broken, complete revamp of the perfect engine we have now.

Engine could be graphics engine, and we get different way characters are rendered.

Maybe that means we can get an outside venue...during the day! =O

Fuck you and your wrong spelling. I'm right. And Dave was clearly recycling his punchline, which is totally not cool.
Fuck you and your college dream. Fact is we're STRONGER THAN ALL

Now I actually want Pantera dlc.

and more than 6 faces per gender!
That would nice. Having said that, the RB CAC is still 100x better than the GH one. I hate those fucking sliders Activision and EA use for all their faces. It's impossible to make anything look right.

One of these days I'm gonna get around to making that RBGAF meme wiki.

That would be sweet.

And fuck you Jarate, changing to a Flyers avatar is bad enough but can you pick one where their not crushing the Bruins? That's fucking insult to injury man. I'm trying to forget that series.

Still probably the best hockey game i've ever seen, the game 7 one that is

but come on, isn't that an awesome picture

No to mention, their clothing choices sucked. And Neversoft used to have an awesome custom character designer in the Tony Hawk games. Guess that shit went south with Project 8.

Yeah The Bruins go up 3 games to none and then go up 3 goals to none in game 7 and lose both the game and the series 4 to 3. Yeah that's a great fucking picture.

That PR spin is hilarious on Sony PR levels of bad

Until Harmonix makes a claim that they'll pay someone $1200 for each copy of RB3 they're able to find, then they've got a long way to go before they can reach the bottom.

New GH6 info

-One picture contains the extended open bass note. I couldn't get a clear picture of it, but I'll try again in a few minutes (either that, or I need to get my scanner working).
- During 'Party Play', when someone joins, it shows the difficulty level of the song on that specific instrument. It has two pictures like that; unfortunately, they are the same songs and show the same difficulty tier. This could mean that they are going to rate songs separately for each difficulty.
- Song Progress Meter: Like the name implies, shows how far you are into the song. It is a meter above your score that fills up during the song.
- The powerups of the characters count for the entire band: So if you're using Pig Umlaut, the entire band has a 6x multiplier.
- There will be 93 songs in the game.
- All imported songs will have challenges.

Yeah.

In RB I have a Selena that looks like Selena and a Baker that looks like Jason Voorhees.

GH is a Selena that is like 60 pounds, black hair that isn't really black, wings, and a belly shirt. It's ridiculous.

Awesome.
Not to mention they reuse a lot of assets from the GH characters, so my main guitar chick looks basically like Judy Nails in outfit. =/

I just don't want this thread locked due to a shitty game.

Because everyone is stupid and can't realize about how long a song is. What a worthless addition.

That seems pretty useless after the first few times you play a song.

That was a year and a half ago before the economy tanked. All the mods have been laid off.
