Any reason we don't have Slayer in RB yet? And where is the Metallica 12 pack? Also, just a quick question...How many songs can reasonably be put on the disc?
1) Black Magic is pretty fun for a Slayer song
2) Vaporware, licensing issues, shit I dunno. HMX would rather release christian rock and No Doubt leftovers.
3) RB2 is 4.6GB and that has 84 songs along with the rest of the game. They can probably put double the amount if they really wanted to.

Holy crap, I am an idiot. I forgot about that song. The last semester fired my fucking brain.

Is 85 songs the limit for disc space?

They can probably go higher than that. Depends on your compression and the like. It's probably more a case of licensing

I was thinking that RB3 might have more than 85 songs. (Hoping.) Man, waiting until E3 for information sucks.

It seems that licensing issues are really not a factor anymore, though. Oh well.

In other news Push Push is fucking so awesome it's ridiculous.

I was told to rate it after I played it and I gave it 5 stars but where does that info go? I'm on the PS3 so I assume nowhere.

It's there to make the PS3 users feel like they matter.

At least we got the greatest party game of all time out of it.

But realistically, MTV should have given peripheral responsibility to Mad Catz in the first place and not even bothered with manufacturing hardware.

It won't be better than GH2
A good portion of the GH2 setlist is available in RB2 (as masters, no less).

Costanza.. I don't read internet sarcasm too well, unless it's riddled with smilies, or it's Archie, in which case the shit is so ridiculous, he has to be kidding. You genuinely seem like a jerk to me. I'm sorry, but that's the way I feel, and as I said, I'm honest (even on the internet where I could hide behind some anonyminity).

Why do you feel the need to look out for Pedro like he's a puppy or something? Dude doesn't give a shit, why do you? You're crying more than Pedro.

That's complete bullshit. You're basing this on your opinion.

No I'm not. The key issues for profitability with these games are the instruments, if Harmonix hadn't been making drum kits and selling large bundles at a low profit margin, they would have been more likely to make a decent profit off them. This is unquestionable fact.

We already have too much Slayer in RB.

I'm really not a asshole, dude. :(

Then you start to argue that if HMX didn't go the band route, would "Rock Guitar" have been any kind of success. At least the same success that Rock Band has.

They could have added singing. And made it 4 player by just having 3 guitar tracks or something.

Drums are the devil.

Even though Rock Band has lost a ton of money, Harmonix is in a much better position than Red Octane and Neversoft.

The addition of drums was a necessary move on Harmonix's part. Without an addition that drastic, Rock Band would've been seen by everyone as nothing more than a Guitar Hero clone, and would probably have done even worse.

You're not taking into consideration the fact that there would be too many guitar games and no real new players so the drop off would be greater. I would have probably never bought the game without the drums and I don't know anyone who plays guitar really. 8 of my friends all fight over the drums. My friend Caitlin sings, that's why she has the game.

I see. So that's what it is. You've got Snare Envy.

This is how I'm going to settle every disagreement in my band.

"I'm right. You just have snare envy, that's all."

Problem solved.
