There's a really sad one in Holiday, and by sad I mean it's pretty pathetic.

I thought the whole game was pretty shitty tbh. Boring single player, shitty platforming mechanics, some great online levels but straight up awful interface and organization of them (world map, really?) and to top it off the game is a laggy mess. I don't care if they improve with LBP2, I'm not buying that shit again.Ashour said:Online was laggy and shit. but local and SP was really fun, the only thing I hated about LBP was the fact that they only released one level pack a year, The MGS4 pack and Pirates of the Carbines pack are really great.
I'm playing LBP PSP now and it's really good, I love the mini games too.
Single player levels got better and more challenging as you go on and I found nothing wrong with the machanics, it's not Mario but it's not supposed to be.corkscrewblow said:I thought the whole game was pretty shitty tbh. I firmly believe in you man, Im downloading these demos in a few minutes.Wired All Wrong said:Played through all of Tragic Kingdom last night and it's definitely my favorite album in RB. Every song is great on drums. I just wish there was a way to play it all with one click instead of having to make a setlist.
Here are some RBN songs I've been enjoying lately.

Played, man, it was great playing with you and watching you destroy my friends :lol
Ronabo said:Hey thanks for the compliments. My Honda skills are from the almost 20 years of playing some form of Street Fighter. I enjoyed the matches. I had the sound up barely enough to hear you guys laughing at the festivities. A good time was had. We'll have to do it again. I'm still impressed with the net code on the game. I could never play anyone across the pond in SF4.
Yeah, they are awesome live. Saw them twice after Tragic Kingdom came out and both times they rocked hard. They were one of my favorite bands in high school and are pretty much the reason I got into ska music. While Tragic Kingdom is an awesome album, their self-titled album is the one that made me really love them. Would love to see that in RB someday, but I doubt we'll get anything from that since they didn't even include Trapped in a Box in The Singles DLC.ahvostik said:Wel! - cooommme!

I agree with the whole world map mess, they need to find a better way of organizing it, I mean there's more than 2 million levels this shit does not work.
Are you on 360 or PS3?vordhosbn said:So much off-topic centred posts in this thread, I thought I clicked the wrong thread for a sec.:lol
I really want to get into this, but before I do... I'd like to state I'm just a poor student.
For the UK members. How much have you spent(in £s) on Rockband(2?) peripherals, DLC etc?
I definitely want to get the whole drums, guitar, mic set up. I'm not sure when the next iteration or spin off I'm likely to be interested in, is being released..I was planning on buying it this summer, should I wait?
I might just wait then, if it means this(?) fall for entirely new songs + instruments.Terrordactyl said:If you don't mind waiting, that would be the best/cheapest option. It probably won't be until late October/early November though. AFAIK the RB2 instruments aren't available in the UK outside of the pricey beatles bundle, if you can find that on clearance somehow then go for it. The rock band 1 instruments are really shitty compared to the newer ones. DLC can be expensive but you could start building your library before you buy the game.
I have both consoles, my 360 died once back in 2006 and got it refurbished. Haven't really played it much since, but I wouldn't risk buying such an expensive game on this platform. Are you on 360 or PS3?

How can anyone even understand any of the vocals in this? Not that it bothers me, I usually just tune out vocals anyway.

I'm not exactly sure what would be the cheapest, but if you're going with PS3, you can buy the Beatles: Rock Band set in the us for about 68GBP. Of course, then you'd have to have it shipped over, but that will give you the best instrument set.vordhosbn said:I might just wait then, if it means this(?) fall for entirely new songs + instruments.

And my PS3 died literally a week ago, my blu-ray drive just started making weird sounds. ):
I'm probably picking up new PS3 soon though, possibly 250gig slim.
Thanks for the replies everyone, now I just need more info on this new Rockband release. Excited.
XShagrath said:If you've got both systems, I'd definitely go with the 360 version, as it's HMX's lead platform and gets more love with RBN. Who knows what RB3 will be like on the PS3, but I'm not sure if they'll have a fully-supported RBN venture then either.

That doesn't stop him from being a fanboy. He bought the awful version of FF13 because he has something against PS3 or somethingSpace Cadet said:He's not really. He has all consoles.

corkscrewblow said:Only difference now is 360 gets all RBN songs (most of which aren't even good)
Sure, 360 is better but not by much
I'm not saying that a bunch of people are all over RBN and there are hundreds of awesome tracks on there. I'm just saying that if you're just starting RB and you own both consoles (Wii doesn't count), then why wouldn't you go with the one that gives you more options? There is good stuff on RBN for everyone, even if it's not that much right now for those picky people.ravien56 said:Most people here are already way too picky about dlc. Shit on RBN would of passed when it first came out. When RB1 came out, I bought a lot of crap songs just because but now I'm way more selective, only picking up the really good stuff. Only a small percentage of players are buying shit from the RBN store.
