I'm not saying that a bunch of people are all over RBN and there are hundreds of awesome tracks on there. I'm just saying that if you're just starting RB and you own both consoles (Wii doesn't count), then why wouldn't you go with the one that gives you more options? There is good stuff on RBN for everyone, even if it's not that much right now for those picky people.

You don't seriously believe that do you? there are a handful out of hundreds that are worth anything. Rock band songs are either good because they are good songs that everyone at a party knows or because they have good charts. The majority of the tracks on RBN aren't that well known/

RBN hasn't been that great so far, but if it picks up some steam, and labels see a profit, it could be gangbusters. I bought PP (LL) but only because it was .99; I would have passed at 1.99. Waiting for Clutch and...well, I think that is it out of the releases so far.
Its only $1? I gotta get that then.

I meant there are hundreds of songs. Don't know how that "awesome" slipped in there. :)

I own a little over 60, and they're all fun.

RBN is fine for what it is. I expected very few bands I care about, but there's some tracks on there I'm glad for, and the overall charting quality is good. The issue is really just that I don't care about most the bands, and I'm at the point where I need to like more than the DLC's chart to buy it. But I bet when RB3 comes out I'll pick up a bunch of RBN tracks.

I've got 8 I think, I'd probably have more but I'm on PS3. I've played three of them at least 5 times each the other ones aren't so great though. Theres some goofy charting here and there and the mixing is suspect in a few of the songs. Other than that I like the service and they've managed to port over all the songs that I was interested in already.

I think it's a good thing for me at least, that the songs aren't updated like they are on 360. I've wasted enough money on DLC that I've played twice or something just because I wanted to buy it all.

Push Push is fucking awesome and a steal at 1 dollar.

Bang Camaro fucking rules.
This! :D So glad it was my first RBN purchase (lol PS3). Still need to try it on hard drums though, just for the epic ending.

If RBN was an Activision product you would think it was the greatest thing ever.

That would explain why I love GHTunes.

I troll RBN for fun, but honestly it's not that I think it's bad, I just feel it's targeted to a fairly specific audience that I don't identify myself with as much.

Things I agree with Costanza on:

Music

Things I disagree with Costanza on:

COMMUNITY.
Seinfeld sucks.
He said some woman was hot and I didn't agree.

You do not agree on fucking music. You might over lap like 3 or 4 bands total dude, don't kid yourself.

As far as people in this thread go, there's not many people I'm more in tune with. Motion Picture Soundtrack comes to mind.

I'm listening to Bob Dylan now though, I bet Costanza hates him.

Costanza are you 14 years old? Your post in the "Educate me In Classic Movies" thread is so retarded I want to cause you actual bodily harm.

They definitely agree, it's just negative agreement, not positive: they both think everyone else's favorite music sucks :lol

See, Costanza's awesome.

I only listen to two of his albums though, so I don't know if the majority of his stuff is shit.
I need to dig into his catalog eventually. Only heard a random assortment of songs, but I'm definitely a fan of what I've heard.

You don't know if the majority of Bod Dylan's stuff is shit? Are you fucking kidding?

It's not shit, not even close. That's not even funny.

Wow. You and me both. That comment was borderline retarded.

It's more that I just stick to Blonde on Blonde and Blood on the Tracks. His other stuff could be amazing but it's so overwhelming I've never known where to begin.

Simple Twist of Fate, ;_;

Sometimes I think Costanza makes these idiotic statements so everyone remembers him. Maybe he longs to never be the person who is forgotten in time, a person whose name would not be muttered even by the ones who find his body after he has shook this mortal coil, a former shell for this poor man's soul. We should all take a moment to really think about why we live: is it to experience life, or to create some sort of legacy so others will want to remember us?

Either that or he's just fucking stupid.

There are three kinds of trolls in this thread.

Archie: the jester troll
Costanza: the Karate Kid villain troll
GreatDave: The psychotic Baldwin brother troll

I just can't get into Beck as much as I used to...and I used to really like his stuff.

Ween, however, never gets old. Just wanted to plug them. They should get more love.

I just like how real Sea Change is. Modern Guilt was similar in some ways; it was more stripped back and let the songs speak for themselves, but with some cool production that kept it kinda modern sounding.

I like Ween!

I'm not in the mood for an album like Sea Change right now, and Guero is too hip-hop for what I'm trying to get at the moment. I'm iffy on Modern Guilt.

Odelay feels like it's scratching the itch though.

I do appreciate your help guys.
