Anyways. Playing RDR, its GTA4 reskinned in the Wild Wild West. Including the Warts from GTA4 (The shooting feels exactly the same and exactly as mediocre). Kind of suprised at the high review scores.
 
You're surprised that a publisher known for buttering review outlets up and then threatening to excommunicate them if they don't give it high marks would pull the same shit again?
 
I'm liking the game parts of RDR. I'm not sure if I'm sold on the open-world aspect of it yet though. It's pretty damn empty and the map system sucks. Even the north pointer on the mini-map is like 90% transparent and three pixels tall.

Playing on "expert," you can tell the game was developed for auto-aim. You pretty much have to go into dead eye to hit anything, especially on horseback. Oh, and I also don't think I like riding the horse.
 
The difference being that RDR got me right into the game, where as GTA4 tooks its lazy ass time going any-fucking-where. They should have just made Episodes From Liberty City GTA4 and axed the actual GTA4. Those 2 episodes are vastly superior.

We already went over this, no spoilers, I would surely go to hell after spoiling that masterpiece of an episode. IT WAS FUCKING AWESOME.

Makes me sad it's ending but I think it might actually live up to a fan's wettest dreams. Lost is soooo wet.

I'd like to go into OT and talk about it there, but this is approaching Snape kills Dumbledore levels of paranoia, I think I'll just go dark on all things lost for a week.
 
Terror, it's safe. Nothing huge has leaked aside from that callsheet with the one big thing that HAS to be fake because there's no way it makes any sense at this point.

Watched another episode of LOST with my wife last night while playing Tropico. You LOST people are hilarious. This episode wasn't bad, but it's the second to last episode (not really when you have a 2.5 hour finale). Desmond has always been the best character and decreasing his screen time was stupid. My wife also watches One Tree Hill and Gossip Girl for their trashiness and both seasons ended with someone getting shot (I figured it was safe not to spoiler tag for those shows). So my bet was on the "getting shot" trifecta with LOST, but sadly it disappointed.
I can't wait to see what kind of magic reincarnated Locke wields which is more powerful than a nuke...lol magic. Also Jack is a bitch. "Do you have a cup." No I'm a fucking man I drink out of my hands or straight from the source. "Now you are like me." An actor with one type of delivery: wooden? It looked like they were about to make out after that. Would have been sweet

RDR is good, too. Controls are a little wonky. Riding a horse and trying to get it to maintain speed, steer, aim, and shoot feels all at the same time feels like driving a car while juggling, and you are surrounded by hungry wolves.

I grew up in the southwest, though and so far the environments are really great. One major thing though, I haven't been able to access the social club or rockstar key servers since they are probably being hammered. The same thing happened with Mass Effect 2. Fucking upgrade before you know a major online integrated game is coming out. Inexcusable.
 
As the episode before the finale, the ep was awesome. So many threads I want to see the conclusion to. With the exception of
The Danielle Rousseau shitty fanfiction
every scene was awesome.

That's bullshit. That and other songs that I have heard got canned are all on sale on iTunes. Hmx (or their lawyers probably) needs to stop being sissy bitches.
 
It was just some dude on ScoreHero that said it, so I don't know how true it is. I guess I can understand them not wanting Guitar Hero's name in their game. Or maybe Activision would get pissy.

It's a funny song though.

The possibility of someone getting pissy has been enough for HMX to be all "hold up" on songs. Revengers was all clear but still got pulled because of potential for Marvel to cause a fuss.

Absolutely. I've got people in every class that really just don't seem like they want to be there. With the price of tuition, I don't get how someone could just not even try to understand things. I'm always more than happy to help out someone who's struggling, but they have to make the first step in telling me they want the additional help.

I won't buy anything before it's on the real RBN store, as those different "versions" won't be compatible for online play. Not a big deal for you, but it's kind of a dealbreaker for me.

Are you fucking me? No "Guitar Hero Hero" either? Sure, Tekken/Zelda/Wii/everything else in Girl At The Video Game Store is fine, but as soon as that game gets mentioned, fuck it. Seriously, HMX is really starting to annoy me on the RBN front.
