My boss' husband (bh) is in a cover band that covers entire albums, not just random songs. Last year they covered Billy Joel's "The Stranger" start to finish.
This year they picked The Pixies "Doolittle" to cover.
Well, Kim Deal is originally from Dayton, and through one of those strange twists of fate, one of the boss' hubby's band members has one of her old basses. And so bh gets to use it for the time being as they are covering the album.
That's pretty cool by itself, BUT, get this: Kim's been sighted in Dayton quite a bit lately, and the rumor is that she's living in the area again. So now this cover band is going to be covering an album with the possibility that a band member just may show up for one of the gigs. LOL
I mean if I were her and heard about it, I'd go see. Wouldn't you?
