<guhnmystro> Xev had a setback today, he's too weak/sick to get weaned off the ventilator, which is going to be harder to wean off of the longer he's on it. They just did a cat scan to see if they can find where the infection is at.

:(

Don't take our Xev, God. He still has plenty of rockin' left to do.

This. :(((

I wish I knew how Xev's color looked... Guhn, do you know if he's jaundiced in any way?

Thoughts and prayers continue.

Hope Xevren pulls through. :(

Btw, Got Nuffin has the most disappointing guitar chart ever. It's basically playing for 30 seconds then 20 seconds of nothing, and repeated until the song ends. Sigh.

I played RB drums the other day after about 1 and a half month with my real drums and I'm way better at rolls. RB3 will be fun. Well, probably not, fuck that RB2 kit. I was so happy with it, now it feels like shit :lol

Must be why there's always a decent DLC for drums while guitarists keep saying "another week I'm saving my money" :lol
I think that only comes from many guitarists not having the ability to enjoy simpler songs but drums tend to be enjoyable even if it's a fairly simple song. At least that's what I've always thought.

It's exactly like that for me, hate playing songs on guitar if they aren't fairly challenging and pretty fast. They can't be strumfests either, which takes out some of the higher tier ones as well. Drums I can have a lot of fun on even with simple songs.

I may get them for RB3, let's see.

This. I finally played on some when I was in NYC at the end of April, but I'm going to wait till details of RB3 come out being that it might need a new brain for newer features.

I'm not that kind of a guitarist. I like simple songs and enjoy playing them, but I also like difficult songs that I can't play worth a shit. The thing for me is the music. If it's a song that's catchy and I like, I'll gladly play it. If there's a song I don't really like listening to, the chances of me playing it/buying it are slim.

Harmonix's Rock Band Network Partners With Distribution said:
Rock Band developer Harmonix and owner MTV Games have partnered with several online music distribution, promotion, and tools firms to tighten links between those services and the Rock Band Network.

Under the Rock Band Network Affiliates Program, the Rock Band Network will be promoted to musicians who use Tunecore, Nimbit, Reverb Nation, Indaba Music, and Topspin, while those sites will be promoted to existing users of the Rock Band Network.

The partnership is intended to extend to Rock Band Network bands and musicians the facilities necessary to better produce, promote, and market their music. In addition to integration of certain services into the Rock Band Network, the companies will work together to provide participating musicians with discounts and offers, such as free or subsidized fees, advertising, cross-promotion, and more.

"This initiative will promote the Rock Band Network to bands that frequent our affiliates’ sites and give the creators inside the Rock Band Network the opportunity to work with an amazing group of well-respected music distribution, promotion and technology sites," said MTV electronic games and music SVP Paul DeGooyer in a statement.

Officially launched earlier this year, the Rock Band Network allows Rock Band owners to convert their own music recordings into tracks compatible with the games, then sell them online for a 30 percent royalty.

Although it is broadly marketed to non-professional musicians, established record labels like Sub Pop, whose library includes Nirvana and Sleater-Kinney, have also launched support for the program.

you are above the instrument tiers. they should just add a mode called "BeBedora Mode" where you have to play all the instruments at once.

My vision of 'Bebedora Mode' (And first image I've tried to make, so be kind!)

When the hell did you lose your tag, TAJ?
A couple months ago. I know exactly how I got it. I haven't the slightest clue how I lost it.

I shudder at the thought of where the keyboard is going to be placed.
I see what you did there... but srsly, where the mic is now. Mic will replace the head. Sort of an "I have no mouth, and I must sing." sort of thing.

Well then in that case a week would play out the same for you regardless of what instruments you did or did not play. I suppose maybe what I was talking about was directed more towards the concept of drums getting more "fun" songs than guitar.

Old? From Gamasutra:

Nope, officially opened up today. It's just additional sites and resources for bands (presumably unsigned RBN bands). Although, some are also offering authoring services, which is shaking some nerves. Not a lot, but parts of the community can get touchy at times.

do you live in Atlanta Grecco?

I moved there when I was five so I definitely consider Atlanta my hometown...

just moved to NYC two weeks ago though but I'm still a hardcore Braves fan for life.

I mentioned them in the chat, but now that it's looking official I'll make the announcement on the record.

Morgawr - "Herlathing"

Pagan black metal. 9 minutes of it. And there's a good chance that we'll be doing the entire rest of the album over time.

I really like that. Looking forward to it.
