That was a promo video that was released way before RB1 was even out. It was so early, the gems weren't even rectangles yet.
 
That video also had transforming gems for the drums to give a visual representation of what that pad is supposed to be simulating at that moment. I always thought that was pretty cool.

I don't think HMX will ever let you customize any of the highways or notes. Which is fine with me as I wouldn't change anything even if I was given the option.

Yeah, there's a bunch of songs coming out today, but only two have links working right now. Here's a list of everything coming out today. I'll post links whenever they are ready.

From the looks of it there's an XNA glitch/issue somewhere in the backend. Should be fixed soon-ish.
 
Aside from obvious tapping mechanics, new stumming mechanic utilizes multitouch display to "make the gameplay perfect."
10:24 am Gameplay is similar to classic guitar hero.
10:24 am Comes with classic rock like Queen and Rolling Stones as well as new artists like Rise Against.
10:24 am New Guitar Hero shows 3D rockstars that are fully customizable.
10:23 am "Guitar Hero is a pop culture phenomenon."

Right, but what I meant was IF they wanted to release the classic stuff, but held on to Chinese Democracy until after it, even fewer people would touch it.

Ah, I figured that was the problem since two of those songs are up. Hopefully the rest still come out today. Looking forward to playing Haunt My Mind.

I know you can't say much about songs in testing, but any news on the RX Bandits song? Is it still in testing? I figure it should be coming soon since it's been over a month since they put out the preview of the song.
 
I dunno, I kind of like the look of the new GH guitars. The whole switchable "wings" concept is pretty dumb though.

Also to whoever got me to watch the IT Crowd. Bless you. It's some of the funniest shit I have ever seen. Why the hell is only six episodes a season though?

Haven't read anything new about them yet. They went up pretty recently though, right? It will probably be awhile before they're released. I'll let you know if I hear anything though.

He's trying to show off the difference in quality but it doesn't translate very well in screenshots. I know generally the more ppi, the better but how much of a difference can it really make?
