Yeah if you like Alpha Protocol at the beginning I doubt you will be let down by the rest of the game to be honest, I had a really good time with it at least. Surprisingly though, I expected it to be really shitty but I had nothing better to rent. Also the throwback sonic Sega logo made me smile.

I didn't realise the SSPU drummer plays open palm, his drumming makes a lot more sense now.

Wow. I must admit, the game looks better that I thought it would.

Fun fact: on a 3G the character in the background doesn't move, and there's no real lighting effects. I noticed at one point a still shot of my characters face for about 30 seconds.

The game is really fun though. It's very much an abstractation of the gameplay; they'll occasionally chart drums to guitar (played as an open note) and the mechanics don't really feel like guitar playing. Feels like it was designed for a touch screen, not ported to one.

It can be very difficult and I'm getting a fair bit of slow down on my 3G, which hurts it (I assume 3GS is fine). It's cheap enough that I'd say go for it, it's not perfect but the mechanics make it stand out from Tap Tap and iRB.

It certainly doesn't feel like Guitar Hero, engine is pretty damn tight. GH7 to have RB timing window, confirmed. Makes me actually excited in a way to see what VV do with GH, while before I was planning on trolling them.

Also, the flames from the notes are the colour of the fret. Genius. Should have been like that since GH1.
