GD:RB Why did they take out the drums before and after the song... that blows man, at least thats the way it is on the Wii

The game rocks though though, Dookie has a unique new sound to it, can't wait to sing some vocal harmonies, they are AWESOME

Rockbandaide is saying that the Keyboard bundle is listed at $130. Wonder how much the realtar's gonna be?

Given how Harmonix's fake Beatle guitars are $100, at least $200?

That keytar price is fucking :lol worthy. Maybe *guy who's username I can't remember* will be happy and it'll be full sized after all?

I'm not a fan of that either, but the fill samples sound so much better in the game.

Well, remember that the bundle will include the game. So you're looking at 50ish for the game and therefore 80 for the keyboard/keytar. It'll probably be $100 separately.

They seem a bit sluggish? I have to go back and play AC-DC, it seems a bit like that? Or is this something new?

$40 more for the Keytar bundle than the GH guitar bundle is just dumb. It's good they're being smart enough to actually do this kind of bundle (do you oppose it as much as you used to oppose the idea of a guitar bundle, btw? ;) ) but it's too expensive.

They also probably figure that the keytar bundle won't be the main bundle...who knows...

I don't oppose it, because it's something new that not everyone has. In all honesty, maybe they should've done full band for RB1 and also maybe drum bundles, since tons of people already had a guitar.

I guess it'll depend on what the keyboard looks like.

In less than a week, many tears will fall. Ones of happiness, and ones tasting of the Great Salt Lake.

Fixed. :(

My impressions from playing GD:RB all day.

Guitar : American Idiot / 21st Cen Breakdown >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> rest of the game

Vocals : Dookie <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< rest of game.

EDIT: Also Stage Kit doesn't work in Green Day (Just like Beatles). It better work in RB3.

Couple of things to note from that, specifically the release window and use of "keyboard bundle" (if it's a keytar, why not just mention that?)
.
Fuck. these are a lot of games coming out at the same time

:lol It won't be anything to do with COD.
What other marketable action franchises are in Activision's portfolio? Neversoft sure as hell isn't going to be working on a new IP. :lol :lol :lol

It's not a comparable scenario.

How the hell is making sure that CoD isn't in a situation where there isn't a game ready every year not a comparable scenario?

Denial: not just a river in Egypt.

Rented GD:RB from my local Hastings, they also included the instruction book and the code to export all the songs is on the back :D SCORE!!!!!!!

That's awesome, man! :lol

The new instruments must be awesome then if they are trying to clear their backstock before RB3 comes out. Man, I wish I had a hundred bucks...

Making Guitar Hero games is easy. The engine was done, they just had to pump out charts and some new art. There's already three teams set up specifically for spending years working on COD games, I can't imagine Neversoft of all companies being added to that list. It's a much more logical jump to say they're making their own game, rather than assuming "multiplayer" = COD.

Look at it this way, when Neversoft eventually gets their grubby fingers on the CoD license, that just means its inevitable death will be expedited. :D

The engine is already done for CoD, as well.

Just saying.

Great news about Xevren! Glad he's (in the scope of what could have happened) getting better. Sounds like it's going to be a while still though.

It's still a pretty massive difference in effort to put a team on GH for 6 months or 2 years for COD. We'll see I guess. This is the perfect situation for me to look like more of an idiot in 6 months.

I think 90% of DJ Hero customers suffered the same syndrome as me; first think the game is awesome, 3 days later it begins to get boring...at the end of the week, it is over....

I loved DJ Hero the first time I played it...one week later I felt that I spent to much in this game...another week later I was desperately looking for somebody to buy it from me.

I will never, ever buy it again, so Im completely indiferent to the sequel...despite it being a good game after all.

Im pretty sure most of DJ1 owners feels like this.

and...

RB3 Oct 31??? noooooooooo!!! What an anticlimatic way to know this...and it looks like an eternity from now!
I can't say my experience has been like that. The first three days or so I only played easy and did maybe 4 or 5 of the playlists. The fourth day or so I switched to medium. At the end of two weeks I have five starred all the songs on Medium and judging from some of the songs I tried on Hard for achievements, I am ready to make the jump up. Maybe when I am playing on Expert full-time it will get boring, but I enjoy a lot of the music so much that I can see myself playing it for a while to come and then, hopefully DJ Hero 2 is out.
I only spent $27 on DJ Hero, but I can say that I would have bought it for full price after launch if I had some hands-on time to try it first.

Agree. The Dookie songs while enjoyable weren't really challenging. Haven't done the 21st Cen stuff yet but the American Idiot "show" is a lot more challenging. I almost failed out on the solo to Hitchin' a Ride. (Hard)

It's GUN 2: Tumbleweed Boogaloo. Mark my words, disbelievers. MARK. MY. WORDS.

Please be GUN 2 :(

For Neversoft's sake, it better not be a new IP since Activision's recent track record would suggest that they'd be liquidated shortly after its release.

RIP Radical and (coming soon) Raven.
