you guys are spoiled.

When Harmonix said "wait for more info at E3" I'm sure they included the 5 days before E3 in their "E3" timeframe.

I think it was a great marketing move to let USA publish the article on the web that basically unveiled Rock Band 3 to the world. They chose to unleash all this info a few days before E3 - that way they could get more attention since there wouldn't be Sony/Microsoft/Nintendo conferences to talk about as well as hundreds of other games to talk about.

there really was TONS of info "at E3" even if it wasn't announced there.

We now know 22 songs that will be in the game which is more than 25% of the setlist. We've seen demos of Pro Guitar and Pro Keys.

like I said - you are spoiled.
I don't think it's spoiled to want 15-20 songs named, a SOLID release date, and a price for the realtar.

Is NeoGAF fucking up for anyone else right now?

I see new replies for different threads, yet when I go to them, those new replies don't show up. For instance, I saw BBG last posted in the thread in the main gaming section, I click the Rock Band thread and BBG's comment didn't appear until apparently right now.

One thing: I'm sick of Bohemian Rhapsody after today.

Also, it won't let me log on properly for some reason. If I don't check the button next to the sign in shit (the one where it says to keep you signed in) I can't sign into GAF.

I was writing a very long reply to you, but GAF is fucking up for me tonight so I'll put it short:

No. We're not spoiled. Everything that was shown today was shit we already knew unfortunately. There wasn't any new songs revealed or anything. Let me put it this way: Everything on that USA Today Rock Band 3 article and every other details from various websites was shown today so you can see it for yourself with footage.

The keyboard is pretty fun though, so you're going to be so happy with it. I played it on medium...had to get used to it for a little bit, but once it clicks, it's pretty cool.

I asked about the lefty thing, but they told me: "More on that soon" which is weird.

I'm sick of Bohemian Rhapsody after today.

Edit:

I'm laughing so hard at October's profile. Whoever did that, amazing job.

October's profile made me laugh so loud mid job...awesome.

The "3DS runs better than Archie's PC" line was glorious. I visit every hour the site to see if something is updated. This thing is huge. Congrats to everyone involved in this :lol

Show was awesome. Kirby stole the show for me, then rb3, and a couple others.

Will type more later bur Its time for 9 hours worth of flying immediately followed by work.

Little .gif of the new trill mechanic...not that exciting but for those who were curious...

Assuming you just need to "hit" the notes within their window to count (as in can spam as fast as you want otherwise), but it still can "break" your combo and not work like HOPOs do? Seems kind of lame if you ask me, isn't the action of trilling enough to give the string the movement it needs?

I would think it works like HOPO's, since that's how most trills are charted now. I doubt they want people to be strumming back and forth. I think the idea is that trills are an untimed technique, so as long as you hit x number of one note and y number of the other, you get credit for the trill without breaking your combo.

That was what I hoped, but you can see him alternating at least a little and only hitting 1 set (2nd to last he hits both). So I figured maybe he had to strum cause the combo broke like the current HOPO system.

I'm seeing him not hit shit. He barely hits blue at all, throws a yellow in there, and practically holds the orange through the entire trill.

Watching it live was incredible.
I wish I would have seen it live. Fortunately, it's so fucking good anyways that it doesn't matter if you didn't see it live.

Oh my god. watch it guys. promise me you will watch it

Watching it now...it's like a study in ackwardness
I almost wanna stay up to see your reactions. :lol If you just tuned in right now, you probably missed the epic rap speech.

I found it hard to watch, it's highly indicative of how shit Konami have become this gen.

At least everyone loves Naoki now, DDR music for Rock Band DLC PLZ HMX.

In that clip, did it look like one girl had her tits covered up by a poorly inserted layer?

edit: yes, there was a very poorly inserted censorship layer over her boobies:

Wow...the floating text is...incredible...this conference is...I might want a recording of this

Record it.

AMUSIX, I'm going to sleep. You can stop watching it if you want when MGS starts. It's boring and depressing after that.

I just watch the RB3 presentation someone posted earlier and there is palm muting in pro guitar. Does anyone has an idea how the tech for this works? There doesn't seem to be something on or near the bridge to check if you put your hand on it, are they like checking how hard the string is swinging?

I don't think the game actually registers you palm muting...it might only show you when to do it.

Hands on demo from G4.

The guitarist is from Bang Camaro and even he flubs the solo in pro mode. I hope we get some video of at least one person nailing a solo on the halftar before E3 is over.

I thought the cameraman was getting in his way. If you look he tries to look around the camera guy at certain points, then he just gives up and starts mugging for the camera. :lol

Hmmmm... hope the guitar/game is really accurate detecting what you're doing because he missed a lot of easy chords and such. Could be really frustrating if they don't get calibration perfect.
Power Gig will save us.

Haha, I've been saying that for the past week.

I gotta say my hype for this game has died down everytime I see the pro guitars in action.
