This game looks so awesome. The premise for the game is probably my favorite ever. I love the idea of going planet to planet and each one being a different setting type. I can't wait to play this.

If ya haven't already, you should try out the last two Ratchet and Clank games...they're not RPGs but fit what you described perfectly and are pretty damn fun to boot...all 3 of the games are good...the last 2 especially so

Looks nice, but seems like a DC2 with other characters/environments to me. Nothing jawdropping. There's also random dungeons which is a show stopper imho. DQ8 looks far better than this, maybe because Toryama did the character design.

Nevertheless, seeing what Level 5 is capable of doing on the PS2 I can't wait to see what True Fantasy Live Online turns out to be on the Xbox 360.

I don't think TFLO will happen on X360.... why? Because Microsoft treated the project like shit, If I was L5 I'd tell them to fuck off in no uncertain terms.

PS3 is where it'll be.

The graphics look pretty good, and the CG looks amazing.

I just wish the background would have the same style as the characters though. They don't have the same cel-shaded look. Sometime it looks to me like the characters and background are from two different games.

Now if their first next-gen game is a cell-shaded rpg with models that look as good as those CGs...I'd be a really happy next-gen supporter at that point

This game is so my style, absolutely beautiful art direction, top notch, wonderful, epic music, I'm in love with it already.

I love this timespan in a system's lifecycle, even more than launch time, it seems more and more devs have taken the reigns of the PS2s full power and now that everyone's not focused so much on upping polygon counts and such the artists tend to focus more on art direction and gameplay, rather than technical advancement (although, I think the obvious talents of the devs have more to do with the fantastic direction this game is heading in than anything to do with the timing.).

Beautiful looking game..i hope there isn't a quirky dynamic to the game like with Dark Cloud 2. Dont' get me wrong, DC2 was great, but it just seemed a bit overwhelming with the millions of things you can do thrown at you. Here's hoping for something more "traditional".
