Either I made up lies about the Boston Bomber or I fell for someone else's crap. Either way, I have absolutely no credibility and you should never pay any attention to anything I say, no matter what the context. Perm me if I claim to be an insider
Anyone watch or follow this wonderful sport?

WFTDA Championships, Uproar on the Lakeshore is this weekend.

And quite frankly, there are lots of cool and cute girls that play derby.

I used to go quite a bit before the league I went to moved away from a BYOB rink to a sports center where they sold overpriced beer and had bleachers instead of sitting/standing in a circle around the action. It's no fun if you can't get tanked for ten bucks and worry about catching a skate to the face.

Was it flat track or banked?

I can't imagine on a flat track they'd let people get so close to the rink. But, I watch a league that plays in a college basketball arena.-

Flat track, we'd sit ~4 feet out from the tape. No spectators got hurt any of the times I went, but there were more than a few people who got a lapful of derby girl.

This can be very, very bad depending on who that girl is. Like, if its a jammer, they're usually at a decent speed when they get sent flying.

And some of the girls are solid, so that would hurt.

I go to flat track shows every once in a while. It's a ton of fun. The names the girls come up with for themselves are awesome and even the refs have some pretty cool getups.

I have no fucking clue what the hell is going on rules wise though.
