Yes, these are the only things that people want. The USA outsources the production of nearly everything they're known for (Romney!) because they can't compete with slave labour.

Also: Portions of the USA (do I need to say which one in particular?) would have been as bankrupt as Greece if it wasn't for the rest of the states propping them up.

Oxford and Cambridgr are consistently ranked amongst the world's top universities, and have been since 500 years before America existed.

Today, the UK's ARM chips power the global explosion of Apple mobile products (designed by Sir Johnny Ive). Not to mention culturally, a heritage of excellence from Shakespeare to the Beatles to the majority of say, the talent behind The Dark Knight trilogy.

Usually those endlessly concerned with dick size have the least to show for it.

The problem is that the UK government is stuck in the past and refuses to support the creative industries which means the talent follows the money out of the UK.

Why not? The point is illustrating a 'small' nation punching above its weight in global culture as it has for centuries.

That's before we even mention the invention of the computer (UK), electricity (UK), penicillin (UK), television (UK) the world wide web (UK)? the steam engine (UK) - the list goes on longer than this forum has space for.

Romney said it doesn't make things. The UK doesn't make English or computers or TVs, the Internet is mostly based in the US, no-one uses steam engines anymore.

England is just a small island. Its roads and houses are small. With few exceptions, it doesn’t make things that people in the rest of the world want to buy. And if it hadn’t been separated from the continent by water, it almost certainly would have been lost to Hitler’s ambitions.
