Hey Gaf I'm looking for thoughts on this situation.
The landlord of the apartment I'm moving into tomorrow told us we could pick up the keys from his office at 4pm today. My roommate shows up at 4. No keys. An hour and a half pass and the old tenants have still not returned the keys. The landlord instructs my roommate to pick up the keys from the tenants directly.
My roommate drives over, rings the buzzer, and the tenants do reply or buzz the door. Presumably the landlord did not communicate to the tenants my roommate was coming to get the keys. Some time passes and another resident of the apartment complex walks up to enter the building. My roommate tries to walk in behind the resident and the guy suddenly turns and knees my roommate in the stomach hard and slams the door directly in his face. This guy never utters a word during the whole thing and goes on with his business, leaving my roommate out in the entry hall.
Eventually my roommate gets in and the tenants give him the keys.
The fuck should we do?
My roommate doesn't want me to do anything about it or tell the landlord, but its just not right.
