O no, Obi-wan and anakin fight. I dont see what you are talking about.

Even if there was something (still dont see it), the shots go by so fast that I cant imagine many people picking up on it.

Besides, this is a RotS thread, with a video. Should be pretty self-explanatory that there could be minor spoilers. just saying.

I didn't read in the spoiler tags, but saying OMG SOMETHIN' BIG AT MICHAEL JORDAN'S PENIS makes us scrutinize a piece of the scenery that's subtly lying around anyway.

It sucks that they are releasing all this spoiler-filled stuff so far in advance of the film. So far I am prohibited from all of the following until mid-May:

Playing the last 1/3 of Lego Star Wars
Playing any of the Collective's ROTS videogame
Watching this music video
Reading this thread much further ;)

Anakin totally owning Dooku, forcing him to retreat and Obi-Wan & Anakin both going for the force push and cancelling eachother out
looked awesome.

Also liked the Epi 1 & 2 reminder.

i'm sorry, but after watching that video, I think Kevin Smith was wrong. I don't see how this movie is going to be good, not with that awful dialogue. Even the shit portrayed here is horrible.

I had hope until I watched this. I guess the video was the sith's revenge against me. :( Someone should have shot hayden christensen three years ago, after the second one was made, so Lucas would have to try again. Just be like, "Sorry George. Try again." he doesn't even have to talk. Just looking at his 'angry face' makes me want to slap him and be like, "QUIT WHINING!!!"

And Mace?! "I don't think the boy can handle it. I don't trust him." I could see certain actors pulling off the dialogue that they're giving Jackson, but Jackson can't. Morgan Freeman could. Not sam jackson. I wanna see him watching a fight screaming, "YES HE DESERVES TO DIE! AND I HOPE HE BURNS IN HELL!!!" or when Anakin is like "What?!" after they tell him that he has a small penis and can't be a real jedi, Jackson goin "WHAT AINT NO LANGUAGE I EVER HEARD OF! SAY WHAT AGAIN! SAY- WHAT- AGAIN!!!!" then slices his arm off. There are many actors who can pull off the intellectual, withdrawn thing. SAM JACKSON ISNT ONE OF THEM!!!

it looks like there's going to be exactly two good roles in this entire movie. Obi Wan and the Emperor. That's it. Oh, and maybe Chewy will be good too. So 3 good roles.

I'll still see it. But these scenes have sapped all hope away from me.

Jesus, anyone that thought the dialogue or Hayden's acting in this film was any better than the last one before seeing this certainly didn't see the beginning of the trailer and his, "Is it possible to learn this power?" I mean, what kind of stupid-ass delivery is that supposed to be anyway?

The blank expression on Padme's face in the beginning after Anakin is like, "Something's happening, I'm not the Jedi I'm supposed to be..." is hilarious! It's like she forgot her lines. Or she's dead inside.

...the thing is, Anakin is a "whiny little bitch". So wouldn't that mean Hayden is doing a good job with his acting, since he's fitting his character.

He's young, impatient, broody/angsty, immature and scared (fear of losing Padme since he lost his mother already)

I think Hayden plays that perfectly. I think your problem is you don't like the character.

Granted, we don't have Branaugh delivering some of these lines, but there's nothing really wrong with Hayden's delivery, but it seems almost like some of you are so entrenched in your "he sucks! stupid ass whiny bitch" attitude that anything that comes out of his mouth is "OMG awful! Look at how cynical I can be on the internet!!!!11"

If you thought the first two sucked balls, don't see three (yeah I know Willco, you have free tickets. :)) I didn't like Matrix 2, so I didn't see Matrix 3. Apathy speaks a lot louder than casting aspersions on a message board.

You've already made up your mind whether or not you're gonna like EP:3. If I'm disappointed, oh well, but at least I gave it a shot.

its hard to explain, even harder since I don't dislike him as much as most. But I would say he's just whiny and bitchy by nature. And while the character is supposed to sorta be like that, his whininess doesn't perfectly align with that of the character.

Think of it like two instruments playing the same note. If they vary wildly, then it sounds weird but not bad. Could just be a harmony or something. But if two instruments are playing almost identically the same sound, but are off by just a tiny little bit, the sound is horrendous.

For me, he just isn't a believable actor. In almost every instance, it seems as if he's reading straight off of a cue card. He struggles with any scene involving emotion and is just another actor in Hollywood who got his shot by having good looks.

Who the fuck goes to a Star Wars movie for the dialogue and acting. It's all about lightsabers, jedi, troopers blasting stuff, ships flying etc and the music.

Ahaha... some of those scenes look pretty cool. Sidius vs. Yoda looks fun.

Jackson had one cool line I thought in the last one: "This party's over."

I still donno about the movie... I'll see it but I have a feeling it'll just leave a bad taste in my mouth. The first one "felt" more like a Starwars movie than the second to me, but it was still ruined.

Then again, I really don't like CGI all that much in movies.

Not too surprising, though. Episode III could end up being the best of the entire saga, INCLUDING the much vaunted Empire Strikes Back, but some people feel so personally betrayed that Lucas raped their childhood with a long-eared Gungan that they are absolutely predisposed to hate the movie. It simply won't matter how good (or bad or just average) Episode III is -- there will be an element that will bitch & moan loudly about it.

in relation to the bad acting anakin: lucas purposely wants the dialogue delivery to be wooden. now, that fact doesnt make HC a fantastic actor, he is actually quite poor, but when the director is holding you back, there isnt many places you can go...

in comparison EmcG has been around the block and he does add some 'character' to his character, but he goes through the motions too...

its quite disappointing to see how much work they put into the fight scenes and how much of the heart they tore out.

I read the script last night and if the "romance" scenes betwee Anakin and Padme are as terrible in paper I can't imagine how bad they will be on screen.

ANAKIN: You are so beautiful!

PADME: It's only because I'm so in love . . .

ANAKIN: No, it's because I'm so in love with you.

PADME: So love has blinded you?

ANAKIN: Well, that's not exactly what I meant . . .

PADME: But it's probably true!

They laugh.

ANAKIN: I haven't laughed in so long . . .

PADME: Neither have I.

Still, as far as overall content like battles, action and the pace, it's much better than the first 2. Although I'm not sure how I'll feel about R2D2 jumping around so often until I see it on the movie, cause it sounds lame.

Accepting that this film can't be perfect due to the casting choices that have already been made...

the trailer and the whole thing is looking to be a completely awesome movie.

I mean think about it... the events in this movie will be completely rocking compared to everything else that happens in the other movies; the awesomeness of the last two movies were essentially sacrificed as a build up to this movie... and all the events detailed here are basically the stuff referred to in the original trilogy; none of the events in EPS1&2 were discussed like that...

and it's some of the biggest shit to go down in the starwars universe, including the birth of the sith and empire and the death of the jedis!

Along with the insane space combat scenes... if you end up not enjoying SW EP3, in all likelihood, it's because you've probably come to a point in time, jaded, even let down by all the other mega action block busters that have come out since the original trilogy, that you won't even enjoy the original SW trilogy (in a modern format; given that you'd never seen it before).

I'm already over it as far as the shitty dialogue and acting. For 18 years I've been simply waiting to see Obi Wan vs a young Darth Vader, and as long as I get that, along with some jedi and spaceship battles, I'll be content. Doesn't mean the movie will be good, just means that I'll get what I want from the movie.

I'm gonna see this flick regardless. I mean, that's only natural. It's just that I really hope that Christensen gets his shit together. We really didn't see any acting in the music video that involved him after he had already turned, so the idea that he's just playing his 'whiney' character well is still valid. If he finally gets dark and, once becoming that, is just awesome as a bad guy, then I'll shut my mouth for good and say Lucas planned it all along.

Mind you, I'm someone who actually enjoyed the first two. They weren't nearly on the scale as the last two in the first series, but still.

And I think I'd like to expound on Stevemeister's idea... in that while this could be the best of the saga, it could also be the worst. Lucas is playing with fire here, which I respect-- I just hope he doesn't get burned.

close... I think it is even simpler to say that all of the PT haters who love the OT simply have an agenda to not enjoy the PT. Oh sure they can hide behind acting, casting, directing, score, editing, costume design, or whatever other flavor of the week reason they have, but the fact is that these haters have given NO ONE reason to believe anything other than that they have every intent on hating non-OT movies. Ep1 came out. They hated it. Ep2 came out where lucas improved upon many criticisms of Ep1, they hated it. Now easily the best of the PT is about to be released, and I think without question according to most better than ROTJ and possibly ANH, and yet they are still intent on hating it.

if that isn't proff that they have thrown all objectivity out the window and just hate the movies to be in with some star wars hating fan club or something, I don't know what is.

and they can argue all they want that "if lucas had given us this or this or gotten a different director or different actors or whatever" but the fact remains that this is just an attempt at veiled rationale to lend their irrational hatred more credibility. lucas brings in a different script writer, still hate it. lucas brings in casting coches, and co-directors on various segments, still intent on hating it. listening to the PT bashers at this point is like listening to a boyfriend giving his ex-girlfriend a hundred different reasons on why he broke up with her, ommiting the one major reason.. he got bored with her and wanted to move on... only they can't move on. pathetic.
