RTTP: Fallout New Vegas

I didn't like anything about launch Fallout 4, even the "improved" visuals felt like a bit different artstyle. So even where they made improvements, there was still a drawback. Didn't like the gameplay much either. VR with mods was finally good, but that was years later and tons of help.

One thing I hate about New Vegas is how buggy the game is, specially on pc. You have to install a hundred mods to make that thing work and look properly

That remaster can't come soon enough

Trust me on this one: We have it bad when it comes to standard New Vegas on PC, but it doesn't even come close to the console version and with that primarily the PS3 version. It couldn't even render the game properly.

But yes, you do need quite some mods for New Vegas to make it work (well) on modern PC's. On a technical performance level it aged very poorly.

I beat the game first on PS3. That was a chore.

Or.. you can use wabbajack and get the whole thing set up for you in an hour. Maybe with a modicum of changes on your side that you want to do.

It's just judging by Oblivion remake, I have 0 expectations from anything out of Bethesda.

There is an unoffical patch for New Vegas that seems good. It is also really easy to add.

Gopher has 4 tutorial videos on his YT channel he made a couple of months ago using Vortex to mod New Vegas, they are easy to follow and mod the game really well and makes the game look and play the game really nicely, you still get the odd crash here and there but there is well over a 100 mods and it is New Vegas after all lol

The unoffical patch for Fallout 3 is kind of a pain in the ass to install. It best to use Vortex to add it.
Steam has a guide on patching up a Vanilla version.

Yes indeed, but then once you check how many mods it installed you'll notice it's a lot. Still, very much worth it.

Installing the Fallout 4 unofficial patch seems like a pain in the ass, but it is actually quite simple. Just have all the DLC and the Creator's Club bundle.
Then install the Unofficial Patch through Vortex. Also, install the mod that lets you still have achievments.
