Yes. Sold my 4090. have a temporary cheap 4080 till I get my hands on 5090 ( unless it's like 2500$ US then fuck no I am out ). but then I'll buy a 5080 if it has exclusive things like DLSS4, or a used 4090 again.

Seriously, to those with a 4090. Are you seriously considering buying one of these fucking cards? By the time developers start to maximizing what that card can do, Nvidia will replace it with something else. Shit, I doubt the 5090 is that much of an improvement over the 4090. not for $2600!

That's just how pc scales. The power becomes immediately available for you to use. There's no need to wait for a patch for any games.

They'll partner with a few of the eye candy games to show the new improvements for sure to showcase latest Ray reconstruction and texture ai features. Probably Alan wake 2

VRAM is not an issue for me 16 and above. I don't want to miss on DLSS 4 if it's exclusive to 5000 series.

DLSS files in general are DLL files that you can manually replace. All you need is one DLSS file from any game and more or less replace it with the current game you playing and didn't get patched officially .

Same how DLSS version got evolved and you don't even notice it

I wasn't aware of this until CyberPunk. Saw a Reddit post about FPS boost and fixing ghosting (largely on things like side view mirrors on the cars) by replacing with the newer version and sure enough, it fixed it.

I'm gonna hold off. I'd need to replace my motherboard to take advantage of the PCI 5.0 speeds and I don't want a bottleneck for a new card. The 4090 is working out so far, but we'll see in the future.

It's extremely unlikely that the 5090 comes anywhere close to maxing out PCI 4.0

No matter if folks can't afford or just don't want to spend this money on a GPU, it's so much salty comments in these threads. Let folks be excited for new gaming hardware! This is a gaming forum, after all.
Seems strange to come here just to sulk and be negative about everything.

And yeah, exciting times right now! So much cool stuff being announced. I haven't got lots of stocks and I definitly can't afford all the stuff I want from all these announcments, but i'm excited as hell about reading and watching the new tech!
And i've been saving up for a 5090 for about a year now, so this is super exciting!

Man to be honest i can afford more than 1000 of these gpus and I will not because is not smart. Nothing asks for more performance and Nvidia needs a message from consumers. It is not about I can afford or not and it is more towards a smart buy of value.

And folks keep forgetting that 3090/4090 is under 2% of Steam survey. Vast majority of people don't have x090 series GPUs. And all PC titles are perfectly playable with much less powerful hardware.

People get excited for new stuff, that's just normal behavior.

20fps to 30fps would be 50% improvement.

I don't think people realize we most likely won't be getting huge raster uplifts anymore.
Future cards will push ai Gen with dlss etc more and more and that's where most of the silicon is going to go.
