If this is real it might be my next and I haven't gone anywhere near AMD since the RX 580 Pulse in my Hackintosh days

modern gaming at any reasonable graphics setting. Plus if the raytracing performance is as good as they say it is, it'll be more futureproof than any Nvidia card not called 5090
"future proof" is one (foolish) thing but there's still no game in existence at any graphics setting that'll need 32 gbs of vram.

I'm gonna be riding my 7900xtx for awhile I'm sure, but I appreciate any kind of competition against Nvidia, and this isn't coming from someone that thinks Nvidia sucks or something. This is my first AMD card in a decade or two, and I'd love to have Nvidia be an actual option for me, but with the way things have gone they haven't been. Will this be a great competition against the 5000 series? Not really sure, but there needs to be healthy competition.

An option for more than 16 is good but 32 is... a lot.

Thinking about it though, not that it's going to be $1000 but at that price 32 sounds about right. The ram isnt THAT expensive.

If they price it reasonably it might end up being the card to get for local AI on a budget. It could actually make people devote some time to better support open source AI on Radeon. It's certainly an avenue I've wanted for AMD to explore, but I've just assumed they don't want to undermine the professional cards too much. The risk is always that once you do that, Nvidia can always do the same and then you've gained nothing really.
