You'll get some British or Australian teenage/early 20s soap star as X-23. You know it's true.
As long as she aint even whiter than Emma Stone

New Mutants would apparently be set in the mid '80s? I thought that was the direction they were going with that.

But she's Lady Deathstrike.
The stand-ins needed are shorter "Caucasian, Hispanic and Asian looking females over the age of 21," specifically at a height of 4'-4'11" and size 0-4 with dark brown hair.
Likewise, photo doubles for the same, "Caucasian, Hispanic, and Asian-looking females" but this time children, age 6-13, at a similar height of 4'2"-4'5" and also with dark brown hair.
I guess that would make them the blue team?New Mutants would apparently be set in the mid '80s? I thought that was the direction they were going with that.
Been saying this for awhile, that they should bring in X-23 as a replacement. Though if they do her backstory they may end up getting some changes assuming Wolverine is PG-13.
Laura has almost always been drawn with ambiguously Asian features. Maybe a biracial actress would be nice.
But the X-Men films are set in the past now, so X-23 wouldn't be available to be in them, absent time travel. My suggestion from the get-go has been that they introduce X-23 in Jackman's final film as Wolverine as a way to pass the torch. I think it's a smart way for Fox to keep a character like Wolverine in their X-universe without having the burden of trying to straight-up replace Jackman. It also allows them to add another good female character to their lineup.
Better than a Twinkie
No...she was some unnamed character with claws. Might as well be her.
In X-23's original debut (X-Men Evolution ) she had her have brown skin for some reason.Which is weird since she is basically Wolverine with a duplicated x chromosome.
Daken is the Wolverine kid with a Japanese mom.
I could see her in the role. Too bad they wasted this actress for the TV show.

Oh fuck Silver Surfer looks beaten and broken...
joking i know it's Wolverine
.
theres no point to new mutants in the 80s if the apoc team is there. the team in the present timeline makes much more sense.
To quote X-23's ex boyfriend "The hand off should be pretty sweet"
That may be but from what I understand they're setting New Mutants in the 80s.
Yeah.
She looks far more like the biological daughter of Sarah Kinney, which is never really explained as far as I know, and Google tells me is a Gaelic name.
I guess she looks sort of Asian because... target audience digs Asian teenage girl ass-kickers? I dunno.
this dude
Here's the casting call apparently?
Hellion catching that L will never not be funny.

Does he still exist?
Who knows and who cares? out of that little group the only one worth a damn was Rockslide

To fuel your hate!Which means it's probably not the actual casting call.
Why would you do that?
Not a huge Anole fan?
Wolverine isn't part of the MCU so she could still play the part.
Which is really illogical, and not what they've been saying; they're pretty clearly planning to continue forward with these new characters, assuming Apocalypse is received well. There's no reason to stop making X-Men films just because you've finally got another profitable property within the same universe. We honestly don't know what Fox's plans are for the X-Men universe after Apocalypse. Some of theorized that because of the resounding success of Deadpool, they're going to hold off on any new X-films for a while and focus on expanding Deadpool's universe
No, though she undeniably looks a bit Asian under some artists (particularly Michael Choi, who did a lot of her early appearances). Is Laura/X-23 considered Asian?
No one can replace jackman.
Because Superherohype may not have actually heard a rumor about X-23 and is just going off this.
