I can't say I'm really a big fan of any albums post-Hold Your Fire with the exception of the song "Roll the Bones"
Or a certain Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band that shall remain nameless.
... Okay, GnR. Axl sounds horrible now. More so than usual.
I wonder if he could do this again , even for a minute or two before blowing his voice out.
King Crimson > Rush
Rush is the greatest progrock band of all time.
I heard they're not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, which means they're probably hacks.
Same. I own every album before Presto, but after HYF, they've only had a few good single tracks. I loved Caravan and I hope their next album is worth it. They still kick ass (2010 Time Machine concert was amazing), but you can tell people go just to hear their 70s-80s material.I can't say I'm really a big fan of any albums post-Hold Your Fire with the exception of the song "Roll the Bones"
Eh, when I saw them on the R30 tour, 'Vapor Trails' had come out only a few years before that. I enjoyed listening to a couple songs off of that one, namely 'One Little Victory.'Same. But yeah, the songs I really wanted to hear were their older songs. And they killed Subdivisions. Still my favorite Rush song...
Rush would be better if classic rock stations around here didn't play them 20 times a day. That level of overplay kinda kills it.
If every Rush song was an instrumental, they'd be awesome. Geddy Lee's voice makes me want to punch kittens.
Nah. I will take the drummer from Creed.
Rush is extremely overrated. If you're gonna make long progressive rock songs, you need a insane and smart enough lyricist that can pull it off. And a voice too. If you're making standard rock then you need to be more catchy, more formulaic, etc. A few good songs though, for sure (although most of them start to sound the same), but it's bands like Rush that remind me why progressive rock...at least classic progressive rock didn't last very long.
King Crimson > Rush
They have some amazing tunes, but "classic rock" radio humps the shit out of them.
Yeah, but sadly only a few songs:
"Spirit of Radio", "Freewill", "Tom Sawyer", "Limelight", "Subdivisions", "New World Man", and "Closer to the Heart" is about it, unless I'm missing one or two.
But in their prime, The Rolling Stones stomp over every rock music act ever.

They still had quite a few good songs that weren't singles.
I think Witchhunt has to be one of their best songs ever.
They play "Fly By Night" frequently as well.
And Working Man.
I've actually never heard New World Man on the radio.
