It’s funny to me when people say “well you have to admit she sacrificed so much for public service” and I’m like oh yeah that must have sucked telling people what the laws should be and being famous and having a job for life. “She kept at it, you have to admire that” no I don’t. If a horrible boss stays on a job am I supposed to be impressed because they never let go of their power? Am I supposed to appreciate this quality? She selfishly held onto her power rather than pass it on and is even trying to do so after her death.

What made her hold onto it even though for 8 years Obama could have capitalized on a huge media blitze retirement to get an even more younger progressive in? Why not retire in style leave the future secure with a young progressive and spend your remaining decade with family and loved ones? But no, for some reason, she alone had to stay in. And now she wished that a new president would come before she is replaced, which could be in 4+ years, and is an unreasonable demand. And is also her trying to hold onto power. Like from beyond the grave. I don’t get it. Maybe she was addicted to the power and felt it kept her alive. It’s bizarre and I see no reason for us to have to indulge her for any longer now that she has shuffled off her mortal coil.

The confines of morality? They’ve pushed the confines exactly how far they want to and then happily stepped over it. The GOP is a shadow of it’s former self as they pander to the crazy ideologies.
trump has done nothing but brought division to this country. You say the “soul of the nation” we’ll all he’s done is corrupt it. He now wants schools to teach about the “great American country” and to gloss over our history of slavery as he also continually throws shade over people’s rights. Know who else did that, right? He wanted the same thing and his reich failed.

trump has twisted the heart of the GOP and is killing the soul of this country.
OK, I gave you the last word. I'm done debating politics in this thread.

This time the republicans are FINALLY playing to win. Normally they take the high ground and have suffered many losses as a result.
Finally? As I recall when Scalia died the Republicans refused to even hold a vote on Obama's pick in an election year (despite universal acknowledgement of the man's qualifications) and ended up with Trump getting his first SC nominee of what will now be 3 at the least. Was that the high ground?

The Dems are the ones who stumble worrying about their reputation. Mitch McConnell is many things, but a 'high ground' idealist is not one of them.

?
Democrats showed silence or even support of riots for months, before finally calling them out when the polls started to show they were wrong in the eyes of the public. Letting America burn just to see if it got them victory in November.

Watch the republican convention, and how most anyone that watched it came pleased with what they were bringing.

The crazy identity politics far left sjws are on the democrat party, there's nothing similar on the republican party's side.
Are you only watching Fox News? There’s a difference between supporting riots (which nobody supported, get your facts right) and supporting the REASON for them. You do know why they started, right? You do truly understand the injustice that was served and why people reacted the way they did?
Also, you are aware that many people whom caused the riots were actually found to be right wingers, right? I mean, you did see this, right?
Let’s also not forget that Rittenhouse crossed state lines, killed someone and the police initially just walked on by. Oh, and then the right set up a go fund me to pay for his legal feels, of which he’s now treated like a hero and, the best thing about it, trump calls them “patriots”.

Then there’s the coronavirus fiasco. In this instance, even Fox News called out trump when they heard the Woodward tapes. But, let me guess, you’re going to blame the left for trump’s incompetence and the fact he knew it was dangerous but decided against telling people. Don’t give that shite about “causing a panic” because that has to be the feeblest excuse ever.

yeah, you really talk about the heart and soul of the country? That’s rapidly being squashed and destroyed.

A judge that was opposed to the constitution. Had Obama chosen a defender of the constitution his pick would have gone through.

when a democrat judge is up for vote, and the dems have control of congress, there is often bypartisan support for the judge. When the opposite happens and republicans are in control they have to fight tooth and nail for a narrowly split vote.

Rationalize it however you want.

The riots started due to a misunderstanding of a police procedure that had been seen nonlethal in practically hundreds of prior uses. A person that was massively over dosed and in the process of dying lied about having taken drugs and the ambulances which were still called got lost and failed to get to him in time.
Also, you are aware that many people whom caused the riots were actually found to be right wingers, right? I mean, you did see this, right?
The DAs are dropping cases like flies, things like the chaz were allowed by mayors, the governors told the police to stand down, denied Trump's offers for national guard. All while the democrats did not condemn for months, some posting support for riot bailing sites, iirc.

Bail to rioters was being posted by democrats.

In many places those whose public record of arrest is known, have been clearly identified as antifa.

The vast majority of riots appear to be in democrat controlled cities with democrat majorities.
Let’s also not forget that Rittenhouse crossed state lines, killed someone and the police initially just walked on by. Oh, and then the right set up a go fund me to pay for his legal feels, of which he’s now treated like a hero and, the best thing about it, trump calls them “patriots”.
Rittenhouse only travelled like 30min and he worked in that area earlier in the day. He was asked by a business man to help protect his business, he was also offering medical aid to those harmed by protesters. Yet he was chased and violently attacked by rioters, some convicted pedophiles, wife beaters and professional anarchists. In self defense he shot at them, and tragically it was fatal.

The left leaning tech sites left the attackers funding pages up, and the self defense business protector minor was banned from funding by most sites.
Rationalize it however you want.
It is not rationalization. The duty of the elected is to protect the rights of the people. They did just that.

Words fail me. You’re defending a man who went out to kill someone. Thanks for showing us the type of person you are. He goes there with an assault rifle just for a laugh?
As for the riots being in democrat controlled cities, that’s true but again, and it was shown to be correct, right wing idiots went there and were caught instigating it. There were even cases of white guys dressed up in BLM clothing destroying shop windows. CCTV camera prove this.

the riots started because of continuous injustice of police against black people. Floyd was just the tip, you know, the guy who was murdered by the police and yes, it was murder. There was no way their techniques were needed. And yeah, hundreds of prior cases. I’m glad you admit this because those tactics are way over what is needed.

He goes there to defend property because he was asked to.

A minority of cases, if there was a majority it would be in the leftist news 24 7. There is public record of those arrested. As for the democrats their DAs are letting people scot free out of jail.

You think chaz was right wing? or the major who allowed it?

An unfounded fake news, myth. Blacks are no more murdered or affected than whites proportional to encounters. They have more encounters because they have significantly higher rate of committing crime.

A nonlethal technique that you don't understand, and at best knocks someone unconscious. They were following procedure.

I am so grateful you are probably not my neighbor, because your take on all this is truly frightening and the videos you post

you’re defending the police actions. You’re defending a president who praised people like this. Do me a favor, talk to a black person for their actual take on things. I hope you will learn something.

I would still say her dedication to her health and fitness was something positive she left behind as her legacy. A lot more people, especially in America, should take their health more seriously and try to continue operating a high level in their trade for as long as they can.

edit from another of the channels I frequent:

There are plenty of blacks supporting Trump and opposed to blm. Get out of the democrat bubble.

The current democrat party is following in the footsteps of the national socialist party from germany

by what you just said, you have no idea what “socialism“ is.

Firstly, nazi germany was fascism, not socialism, there is a huge difference. Socialism, for example, is a social structure whereby the distribution is essentially divided equally across the population and is paid for through equal distribution of wealth. You know, like America’s military, for example, which operates on socialist principles; free to low housing, food etc provided and it‘s funded by the tax payer etc. Anything that is distributed equally I.e. how we pay for our infrastructure, emergency services etc are pretty much socialist based. In fact, many of the ”socialist“ principles touted by people like Bernie are rooted In America’s past, they’re reminiscent of social welfare benefits that were supported by General Eisenhower’s administration and a more moderate Republican Party of past times.

Now, fascism, which is what Nazi germany actually was. This is Is political movement, or regime that puts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition. THAT is fascism, which, if you look out of the window and not on some YouTube posts, is VERY similar to what we are starting to see here in the US under trump; Oppression of the media, a removal of history to be replaced by the “glorious and right history” (which means removing elements such as America’s slavery past and/or the attempted genocide of the native Americans), making a group of people the “enemy” (immigrants in this instance) Etc.

I hope this helps clear things up and to show you how trump’s direction is the one taking us down the path of fascism. And please stop spouting the nonsense about Socialism when we’re nowhere near that.

exactly what the nazi government survivor said was done by the nazi party in austria.

Forcible suppression of opposition is what many in the far left are calling for, even some congress democrats. Now they are currently not pro nation but anti nation. But they tend to be pro collective at the expense of the individual.

Or we can look at the left.
Censorship of everyone and suppression of all conservative channels and speakers through tech. Control of almost all msm, trying to take down statues of presidents and renaming buildings, advocating book burning, condemning a group of people (whites, specifically white men.)

Socialism and fascism are VERY different, as I pointed out. I gave specific examples of how trump is taking us down a more fascist path, which should scare the fuck out of anyone because he’s openly doing it and nobody cares. People are even defending it.

Also, one other thing. You have 8 pages in total of comments made. I’d say approximately 75% are about politics and trying to push the coronavirus (or Wuhan virus as you call it) and trump. Why are you here?

He's not the one with a party indoctrinating the youth, with control of the media, supporting forcible suppression of the opposition.

He's only highly patriotic, and calling out the fake propagandist mainstream media.

I meant in general. Most of your posts are politics and pushing the trump/right wing agenda. So, why are you here?

You’re saying trump is highly patriotic? Are you kidding me? He’s urged people to vote twice - thus committing voter fraud, he’s kept quiet about the virus (deliberately played it down, which has resulted in untold American deaths), pandered to the far-right, happily said he could shoot someone on 5th avenue and get away with it, continually insults Americans, did nothing while American troops had a bounty put on them, called the press the ‘enemy of the people’, urged violence at his rallies, belittles his generals and, of course, insults our military. Doesn’t seem very patriotic to me.

Anyway, I’m done talking to you. You can reply with your crazy right-wing agenda if you like, but I’m not going to bother replying to you anymore.

Well, let's leave it at that. (we had a party calling for open borders, some suggesting destroying the electoral college, modifying the supreme to consolidate extreme power, etc. Trump has been trying to bring more jobs home, and protect the constitution, fighting that party.)

He downplayed the virus not to cause a panic. In any case the leftist media was calling him racist for blocking air travel from china early on, they also were putting all over the place that the flu was worse than covid downplaying it in multiple places.

The press has not only downplayed covid in the early stages of the epidemic but they've minimized their coverage of the riots, look at what they did to the covington kids? or how they misreport and essentially lie about Trump's comments of good people on both sides. Not to mention publishing false hearsay that he insulted dead military men.

Trump's also been bringing troops home and saving their lives.

The funny thing is the only reason RBG wasn't criticized more for this is because the democrats were so arrogant in 2016 they were sure Hillary would win. After she lost, it was to late, so now they had to pray an 80+ year would never die
