I'm really interested to see how this game turns out. Thanks for the impressions.. I'm still on the fence about picking up a JP PS2 (I only have a GCN here in Japan), and I'm doing my best to hold out on the retardedness of picking up a 360.
But if this game's worthy (I loved Shenmue), I might spring for the PS2 to hold me over til PS3 and Rev next year.
Hrmmmmmm.... Or maybe I'll just stick to the portables til then.
How is the dialog in the game? What level Japanese do you speak/understand? My kanji is a bit low (probably about 600 or so). I'm assuming there's no furigana (I don't even know if furigana exists in videogames... don't usually play text heavy JP titles).
